I first got this edition, I admit, because it was free, and I read about 6 months of it, but there are so many notes interspersed in the text that although the notes contain a lot of useful information, there is also a lot that did not interest me,and the constant interuptions started to be tedious, so I bought the other version, that cost £1.25 or so,which I found much better. It is such a long book, ten years worth! that although I seem to have been reading it for months, I have still only read 25% of it.

I have deleted this. I thought it might be historically interesting, but instead found it all tedious and too often sordid.
