Early Club Performances
I loved the Motels in their early stages so I totally enjoyed this! This encompasses "live" performances that were on their first 2 CD's. When their 3rd CD , "ALL 4 ONE," came out their career took off with hit singles, huge sales, MTV appearances, etc. But by the time the 4th and 5th CD's came out they sounded too commercial and controlled by their record company. And after the 5th CD came out the band disbanded even though they had one more to release. That latter CD was released as a solo CD by lead singer Martha Davis to dismal sales. The band is back together now with a new line up performing around the states but mostly around Southern California. The band is still releasing new music and Martha's hard to find release "Policy" has been re-released this year.It can be found on Amazon, of course. Many of her new Motel tunes can be found in MP3 format on ITunes including many nice covers of some big hits by other artists like "Pokerface" by Lady Gaga.

Great live recording. Wont be disappointed!!!
Very nice live performance of there early music. And the mix is very good as well. I really think there early songs are there best. Like the commercial stuff. But there first album was hugely underrated!!!

Checking-In Permanently
It should not have taken thirty years to hear the live version of The Motels, which never transferred successfully to studio work. Despite some of these little ditties already making an appearance on "Anthologyland", to hear the remaining alongside them is a transcending time portal. There's more out there in Martha's vault. I am certain of it!Keep Rockin', Please.

Even Better Live
If you like the Motels' first album, get this great live album. This band had tremendous energy on stage. Even the songs from their second album (Careful) rock live, although I thought that album was nowhere near as good as their debut LP. Thank you very much for releasing this Martha!!!

If you like The Motels, get this album!
Great songs, great arrangements, played by a great band, fronted by one of the most interesting singers in rock music.
