Chess King 4 Deep Pro with Houdini 4 Pro Chess Software (Strongest Version, New for 2014)

There is no single resource that will make you an instant high-rated chess player; not even a personal human tutor. This software will certainly speed the process of becoming a good player, assuming you are of ordinary intelligence.I first learned to play chess more than 50 years ago. After a 40 year hiatus I recently started playing again. For someone who has spent most of their life without the benefit of a computer, this is miraculous.Chess is a visual game. I usually learn best from books, but I have found that trainers like this and video is much better with chess.The software installed without incident, does everything it is advertised to do and is especially good for beginners or anyone who hasn't played for a while.There is of course a cheaper version which should be fine for most people.

There is a newer version at a slightly higher price, but this one will definitely do it for you. I had to replace mine because my computer blew a hard drive. This is a powerful tool that is far more user friendly for us regular guys than Chessbase. It teaches an incredible amount of good chess, provides countless hours of practice and high quality enjoyment. The Gigaking database with over 5 million games provides ample material for self-study, just access the tutorials provided, and learn how to use the whole package. Houdini 4 is one of the top contenders in chess engines, for playing and game analysis.

Good game and I have not been able to beat the computer 12 deep. The only bad thing is you can't change the chess board and 2D view. I would like it to have numerous boards (from marble to glass) and 2D to 3D and moving it around from all angles like ChessMaster. But like I said it is flawless...

I would recommend this product to anyone. Number one, it is very easy to use compared to Deep Fritz 14 who is rather complicated and not use friendly. I play in chess.com and immediately was able to record my games I have played and let the engine do its thing. I was very pleased with the results since it does it almost instantly.Customer service is excellent and I received quite a help when I mistakenly installed another version in my laptop (Chess King 2), which produced some minor conflicts. Customer service is very personable and was ready to help me even after 6 months of using this product.I'm able to see most memorable games immediately and replay them with deep analysis. It is a great product and would recommend it to anyone.

This chess program does not allow user to play a game against a weaker engine from a custom position. i.e. sparring matches from a specific opening against an 1800 rated engine. Minus 4 stars. Otherwise it's good.

I purchased yesterday on the 14/7/15.. Received a few hours ago and I have to say this is an amazing piece of kit. Past chess games, current chess games, this CD Rom will satisfy all your needs to improving your game. I'm a pretty strong chess player, but upon using this software I've allready seen where I've gone wrong finding better moves using the analytical chess engine... This CD Rom has blown me away. Well worth the fifty odd quid to buy. Set up specific positions and store them, store games from other sites and the 5million game library will keep me busy for a few years too.

This item scores highly because of its ease of use. It is not necessary to wade through journals of stuff before you can use it. Just load and play. Its not good as a teacher of basics or any particular aspect of the game. Its strength lies in analysis and so is a good tool for those of us who already know how to play and want to improve.

On my windows 10 laptop, it encounters a problem whenever I try to analyse a game or a position. It may be to do with my setup.

Good program especially the very strong analysis feature. A good price compared with other options for Houdini 4 Pro. Nice people to deal with on queries.
