This speaker worked very well for me. I used it in a 2X12 cabinet, and paired it up with a 12" Hempdog. I can switch between the two, or run both in parallel, depending on the sound I'm after. The descriptions of this speaker on the Eminence site's tone selector were pretty dead on. Since it's paired up with a fairly heavy speaker in a 2X12 cabinet, the lower weight of this speaker makes the cabinet much more manageable. Also, I put it in an open back cabinet, but with a fairly small opening. That seemed to work.

I love this speaker. It has a warm clean tone. Perfect for jazz and blues and classic rock. I like it better because it's a light wake speaker. Swamp thang is great too. But it's heavy. Another great speaker. Good job eminence speaker company.

Replaced the factory speaker in a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue (BDRI) with this speaker. Great sound and much lighter. Solved issues with flabby bass, doesn't add bad highs.

I usually use Swamp Thang speakers to handle the power from my Quilter amps,they sound great but are very heavy so I tried the Lil Texas and was pleasantly surprised! I actually like the tone better and the weight savings are a big plus.Very happy with this speaker!!!!
