Product came in literally a day after I bought it. It was very hard to screw in but once I was able to get it in it fits perfectly and it looks great!

Very well made. No defects. Was going to put it on a James Jamerson project bass, but I chickened out at the last minute. Couldn't bring myself to drill into such beautiful wood and finish. The plating is top notch and most likely perfect. Get this if you want your bass to have that vintage look.

I have a 1970 Fender P-Bass I picked up in 1987 from a pawn shop for $80 (!) I t was already well used by that time and had many road worn knicks dents in the body and was missing the bridge and pickup covers as well as the thumb rest. I am in the middle of a total restoration and after buying a vintage pickguard from Fender that had all the preset holes for the pickup cover and thumb rest, I lined everything up to see how it matched with the original holes in the body put there in 1970. The cover lined up perfectly with the pick guard holes but the bottom hole was about 2-3 mm wider than the hole in the body. No way to drill a new hole without falling into the other and creating a larger hole. I solved by filling with old hole with wood glue and breaking off a toothpick into it. After drying and sanding a new hole was possible.Other than that, these are great quality and really added to the look of my restoration. Just a note for those wanting this for a true vintage bass - modern replacements may not line up with original existing holes perfectly and some creative fixes may be in order.

I just installed these on my Mexi P-Bass and it looks sweet! It did come with screws that are longer than the pickguard screws I also ordered. I'm glad it did, as the one of the top of the pickup cover didn't engage wood until about 1/2 inch down. I guess the rout for the pickup was larger than expected. I was also thrilled that they are MADE in USA!

You can find cheaper Pick-up covers but they may not fit correctly with Fender parts you pay a little more but what you get is a perfect fit and a quality product.

I've got a Fender Road Worn 50s Precision and these chrome covers look amazing. Really adds the 50s vibe and just like the original covers that would have come with the bass. With that said, these are impractical and I will be taking them off, though still keep them for those times I want to dress up my bass. The pickup cover just gets in the way. It covers up the sweet spot where most players pick or pluck. The bridge cover prevents you from muting with your palm on or near the bridge, which many players do. These look great, but get in the way.

I picked up this set for a 2005 MIJ '62 reissue pre bass I own. I have one other P bass ( my "rocker") and I wanted the 62 reissue set up for R&B and Motown.I specifically needed the bridge cover for this bass so I could place a felt mute between the cover and the strings. Between the mute and the flat wounds I have on, perfect old school tone. Aesthetically, looks WAY better than foam under the strings without a cover.Came with mounting screws, and my bass was already drilled for these, so installation took less than 5 minutes, and fit is perfect.Delivery took less than 24 hours!
