product works. We have had 20 to 30 catepillar webs in our tree over the past several years. We put this on the tree in May as directed. We only see 2 webs this year.

Great idea but I have no idea if it will work since I can’t get the backing paper off the tape. I tried and tried. Almost impossible. did however get very sticky residue all over my fingers requiring chemicals to get it off. Useless.

The tape does not stick to the bark very will so you have to overlap it quite a bit and cannot push it into the grooves in the bark because it will come loose and fall down. After a while the gypsy moth caterpillars were able to cover it with webbing and walk over it , so I had to clean it off.

This tape only lasted one day, the heat from one day took all the stickiness away. It was such a waste of money

For me, this worked against gypsy caterpillars.
I got this to block the gypsy caterpillars. It worked for me. I'll be buying more.

so-so
I've used other slippery tape, the kind that had a gummy tar-like backing, and it stuck and worked a lot better than this product. This stuff doesn't stick that well, and when the inevitable peeling occurs (can you say "rain"), ants breach it, being the industrious little insects that they are.
