Color Changing Mood Paw Pencils with Eraser - Graphite Pencil, Set of 24, Assorted Colors - MADE IN USA

Great pencils! We’ve yet to sharpen and use them so we’re not sure how they write but as a goody bag favor they are amazing. They keep changing colors when I handle them to put erasers on them and when I put them in the goody bags. Some colors change easier than others, the blue ones are slow to change and requires you to hold them a little longer before you see the color switch. The rest change colors with just a second’s worth of touching! I can even breathe on them and they change color lol. Long story short I bought it a second time to give out to my son’s class since everyone liked them.

I was a bit worried about how much these would change color, but they were great. We used these for Valentine's Day gifts for 1st graders and they went over very well.

So I was a little bit worried because of the other reviews saying they do not change, I think these people are color blind, they change colors just find and pretty quickly the only downside I have to say is the color isn't a drastic difference but only slight, if its a #ffcc00 then it changes to #e5b700 (these are both yellow hex codes) so I think that is the only disappointment but it does change just fine. The graphite seems solid so far, not like the cheaper ones where they break every time you go to sharpen them and the erasers seem just okay nothing to special. I do wish they came in a cardboard box or some kind of recycled paper box instead of the plastic bag but that is my only complaint.

I first bought one bag for my son's birthday goodie bag and then I loved them so much after trying them out that I bought two more bags!! One for my daughter's birthday goodie bag next year (she has a bigger class than 24) and then the leftovers were for me. They are just so fun. Unlike the review that says they don't work, I had no problem as long as my hands were warm and I held onto them for at least 5-10 seconds. There are some colors with more obvious changes and I think it was the dark green or dark blue that didn't really have drastic changes but the purple that changes to pink is amazing and the orange that changes to vibrant yellow is so pretty. I highly recommend and am considering ordering more to just hand out to friends. I've become a color changing pencil hoarder.

I’m a teacher.Color changing abilities-They actually do color change decently. They will only slightly change when writing with though. So my 6 yr old son likes to do some weird vigorous rub with them to his forehead?-which works. I prefer using my hands.Sharpening quality-They aren’t the worst pencils to sharpen but obviously they’re no match for Ticonderogas. They’re somewhere in the middle; they sharpen with a SHORT point—-if you try to sharpen the point for a longer lead it will just break/fall out. My kids (ages 7 and 6) love them. And they write and erase like normal pencils so yes they serve their main purpose.YES, I would buy these again and recommend them.

I was skeptical about how well these worked, and I was right to be. Even after letting them get to room temperature, maybe one of the 10 I tried barely changed color. And when I say barely, I mean you had to squint to see it.

It technically changes color with heat, but the colors are so similar or so faint, it definitely doesn't have the wow factor. Did not end up gifting.

They work as described.

Every year I order these pencils as a gift for my students. I was supposed to receive a packet of 24 pencils, but the bag was broken and only received 20 pencils.
