Reiki Meditations for Beginners

I appreciated the emphasis on the traditional Reiki techniques of Usui Mikao. There is a strong influence from Gendai Reiki Ho in the methodology presented in this book. Having the recordings on CD is a welcome tool, especially for practitioners who prefer additional guidance/structure for their meditation practice. I really loved the wide range of techniques described in the book, including several that are not regularly discussed elsewhere (such as sekizui ibuki undo).

This is a great book and offers great techniques. However my disappointment came when there was no CD with the book. that's the entire reason why I bought it. I loved the guided meditations. There are about 6 of them and they are 5 or 6 minutes each, so it's easy to get some mediation into your schedule.

Very easy read. Meditations are wonderful. I like that they are quick and easy to catch on to. I would of liked to see all the meditations in this book on the CD but it really gives opportunity to guide yourself through and get more in touch with Reiki.

It was alright. No complaints. It's just a different slant on information I already knew. I don't have any more to add.

Good book

Reiki meditation definitely helps one relieve stress, thus easing discomfort and enabling a state of relaxation and healing. Interesting reading.

As I finish my Level One Usui Reiki class and this has been helpful to better understand what is being taught and help me decide how many Levels I want to progress to.

Very helpful and useful. Need to read it thoroughly several times.

Although I have not yet had the time to fully read the volume I am submitting my comments now for I feel Amazon have been rather misleading The description clearly states that there is an accompanying CD to the meditations - BUT THERE IS NO CD INCLUDED IN THIS EDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It may say in small print that the description refers to an early or out of print edition, but NO-where did it state that the new version DID NOT CONTAIN A CD!!!!!I am sorry AMAZON - but this is misleading and possibly falls under the banner of misrepresentation.

I am told this is a great book, but this is the version WITHOUT A CD. I ordered it thinking it included the CD since the blurb and reviews stated so, but was dissappointed to receive it (also delayed by 5 weeks) without CD! It appears Amazon have not made the description clear enough and other reviewers mentioning the CD have left it on the wrong verson. Not enormously impressed. There is little new here and he follows too closely Buddhist teaching while at the same time telling the reader that you do not have to be a Buddhist believer. For example he tells you how to place yout limbs and tells you what Buddhist teaching says about this but there is no explanation or justification. For a secular Westerner this cannot be taken at face value

As a qualified Reiki Practitioner I have found this book extremely helpful. An easy book to read and refreshes everything that you have learned along your path but may have slipped from your mind. Would recommend this book for qualified or anybody thinking of taking this wonderful journey.Enjoy .....

Some of the meditations were quite repetitive but I can adapt them for my Reiki students and for my meditation group.
