I put this on my three year old daughter's shoes. We have to really struggle to squeeze her foot in and once it's in and we tighten the laces the lace hangs so long it drags on the ground. If we cut any more off there is no way we could loosen them enough to actually get her foot in the shoe. The other drawback is that if she sits down on her feet, like she often does in restaurants to make herself a little taller or just playing on the floor, the plastic tabs are in the way and hurt her feet. She likes them on there but I'm sure we are taking these off once the novelty wears off.

Bought these for my mom who lives in a nursing home, thought the elastic itself could be a little thicker. I ended up taking them off because the aides that help my mom put her shoes on couldn't figure out how to use them. I like the concept but just didn't work for our needs

I have been struggling with getting my son to tie his shoes and my own shoes kept coming untied despite double knots. When we were on a family trip, my dad told me about his elastic no-tie shoelaces. Perfect, exactly what I needed for my daughter. She can tie her own shoes, but they keep coming loose and untied. I put these on my kid who doesn't like tying shoes' shoes. They lasted only a couple weeks of light use before they fell apart. Good in theory, but don't seem to last very long. Now that kid has to tie her shoes, or rather she just chooses to wear shoes that don't require tying.

Having a severely autistic son, I still have to tie his shoes. I got an opportunity to get these for a discount for my review. They're easy to use, and put on shoes. Just lace it up like a normal shoe, lace through the button, lace through the cone shaped items, tie a knot and slip cone over knot and cut off the excess amcnypure good to go! This is a time saver and a meltdown saver for us!
