Grays Teacakes 2.72 Kilo Box

What a totally non descript product, not what I had expected at all. Perhaps in times gone by small children who were given this to cheer them up after a bombing raid may have been highly delighted. However in this day and age of confectionary delights one might be forgiven for thinking this stuff was for lining the bottom of the fish tank.

Horrible. I bought these so-called "coconut and marzipan" treats because I like marzipan. There is absolutely no taste of marzipan whatsoever. The dominant taste is coconut, with an under-current of being ... old. Also, most teacakes I've ever eaten have been soft. These are absolutely rock-hard (like boiled sweets) and require extensive chewing to soften them. I stupidly bought 1kg. I reckon that several expensive trips to the dentist would be required before I got through the whole bag. I'd feed them to my aged dog, but unfortunately his teeth are already in worse condition than mine. Avoid.

Horrible all stuck as one lump strange taste almost metallic. Do not buy . Stuck in bin . Nothing like soft original one that have much more almond taste

i used to love these when i was a kid, thats why I purchased these. the taste was so bad i only tried to eat one but i spit it out. so i thought that i would give them away to so,me local kids. this was a big job trying to give them away nobody wanted them i asked 15/20 kids before i could get rid of them.. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON TRHESE

Not for me.

Normally I love these sweets but this was a first time buy from this supplier and these weren't the best. They were too hard, crunchy instead of being chewy and creamy and the coconut taste didn't come thru.

Very disappointed with these sweets this time. They have just arrived and were in a solid lump. We tried to separate them. They broke in to small lumps bearing no relation to the actual product picture of round individual cakes. Would return but they weigh a Kilo. Shame, these are my husbands favourites but will not buy from here in future.
