Yay! I own this book!
I don’t like to buy books often as they sit on my shelf collecting dust or they ended up donated. I usually obtain PDFs copies and read on my iPad. Seldom, I buy a book. But after reading reviews, I decided to buy this book. And I am truly happy that I did. This book has already helped me. I put it down only to write this review. Whether you want to know more about Tai Chi, Tao, or Chinese philosophy, these book will be well worth the purchase price. It is easy to read and concise. I can feel his energy through the pages as I read. I actually feel like pieces of information that I thought were complete about Tai Chi have now been seamlessly joined into a metaphoric tapestry. I highly recommend to anyone curious about Tai Chi.

This book. is an essential companion for those seeking establishing a sound Tai Chi practice.
William Ting's book is masterful; a concise presentation of the principles necessary for a truly grounded practice. It stands with other texts that have long been read by "westerners"--whether of Zen meditation or the philosophy of Taoism. A beautiful and profound book.

Clear, concise, precise Tai Chi approach
Mr. Ting is very obviously a Master, wich is easily deduced as reading progresses through this superbly well crafted introduction to Tai Chi. A refreshing no-nonsense and practical approach assures the reader quickly that the author knows what Tai Chi is about and delivers the goods in perfect harmony with expectations invoked by the title.

Get more out of your Tai Chi by reading Essential Concepts of Tai Chi
I bought Essential Concepts of Tai Chi as an e-book and have found the information very insightful. Master Ting goes to great lengths to help the reader understand the precepts behind Tai Chi so the the reader can get the most out of their Tai Chi movements. He explains that there are people who have done Tai Chi for many years and yet are not getting the most out of it because they have only learned the physical movements of the forms but have never learned about the energy behind the movements. Excellent book, well worth reading and will make your Tai Chi much more meaningful.

The principles of the practice
The book was recommended by one of Mr. Ting's students. From a literary point of view, the language is a little awkward, but all I can say is that every page made me wish I could study with him also. His student was the best teacher I ever had and reading the book helped me understand why. It helps share the fundamental concepts in a way that kept making me want to practice.

An absolute must read for Tai Chi practitioners
I believe this may be the most profound, yet easy to understand book I've read on the topic of Tai Chi. It has deepened my understanding and most certainly will enhance my practice. It is a well written book that not only applies to Tai Chi but also to life. I'm sure I will be reading, and re-reading this book time and time again. It's a jem.
