Excellent product
This is awesome for chickens or other animals to protect from hawks. It stretches larger than 50 x 50 and is very strong. It can break but is easily mended and doesn't unravel so quality is excellent. You must follow directions and should avoid anyeaves, sticks or debris when putting up or it will take you forever to untangle it but with patience it is worth it.

Perfect Fallen Leaf Protection
I needed something to help with a leaf removal issue in my 50’x15’ plot of Thorndale Ivy. Each spring, I would spend a few hours raking leaves out of the ivy. This was tedious work and raking was hard on the ivy. After reading some reviews and seeing how this bird netting was used to protect backyard ponds, I decided to give it try. Early autumn, before leaves began to fall, I spread this netting over the ivy which is planted underneath several trees. The black netting was virtually invisible. So, my landscaping appears undisturbed. Its near mid-November and I wanted to do a test as quite a few leaves had fallen. I pulled the netting back, dumped the leaves in the yard for removal, and was delighted to see my ivy clear as the day I covered it. And the netting was not damaged. I then re-covered the ivy to await all leaves to fall from our trees (shown in pic). Test passed! Now, there are a few caveats and tips that I learned. 1) It requires at least two people get the netting in place and for removal. 2) You should spread the netting out completely before attempting to put it into place. 3) Leaves, twigs, and small branches will get entangled in the netting. Branches and twigs should be broken and removed as to not damage the net. Stretching the net will free random leaves. 4) The orange ties on each corner of the net are important markers but not intended for hefty pulling. 5) Given the netting was not damaged, I plan to roll it back up for use next season. I will report results on this later.Lastly, for my use, I gave a 5-star rating as I am thoroughly pleased with this product. Noting that it does take a fair amount of work and care but nothing like the time raking and damage to my ivy.

Good for big birds....unless they are persistent
Small birds including robins fly right through it without hesitation, but it keeps thw hawks from getting my chickens. It years easily though, so if thwy tried, thwy could get in. I hung it over my fenced garden/chicken coop. This winter we had rain turn to a slow snow and it built up all over it and pulled it to the ground causing many holes from where I grabbed it to shake it off. It's is very delicate, but it's also very cheap. I'm going to supplement with the smaller square plastic netting over it instead of fixing the holes and string wires across the top in a grid to keep it from sagging next time.

Perfect for...
This sturdy netting can be used for many purposes. It can be used over a poultry/chicken run, fruit trees & plants, bushes, a pool or hot tub (as a canopy to keep birds from dive bombing you), to make a portable chicken tractor, over a dog run, etc.We hatch/raise baby chicks & before they are big enough to go into the larger chicken run, they end up roosting on top of the fence (privacy height) which results in an almost comical nightly routine of trying to get them down. They also escape & hop into the dog run, which make zero sense to go from a large enclosure to a smaller one, but my chickens tend to prove that they are not the brightest creatures around, One of those hens got nabbed by a hawk when it went into the dog run. I was VERY disappointed after waiting for 3 weeks for her to hatch, watching her grow up, feeding/caring for her, only to get eaten 4 weeks from when she would have started to lay, after all of the time, care, & money spent raising her.Anyway, I was scrolling on Amazon for something & saw poultry netting, so I decided to try this. It was easy to spread out, & secure with zip strips. I used adjustable zip strips in case I need to rearrange it, etc. No more escapees, & no more hawk fodder at my expense. We also have an orchard & this netting works great at keeping the birds OFF, our kids from picking fruit before they are supposed to, &/or neighbor kids from stealing the fruit when we are not home. This netting would also make a great TRELLIS (you would need to anchor it to some tall metal or wood stakes for support) to grow some lighter weight garden plants, like beans, snap peas, herbs, etc. Heavier weight plants might work too, but you would likely end up having sagging of the net or having to readjust it. A work around to that might be be to try doubling the net up for more stability. So many uses for this netting. Now if we could keep the critters from digging into our beds & garden from UNDERground...that is my next endeavor to figure out.I WOULD purchase it again!

500sq foot woven knot tangled nightmare trash heap
The media could not be loaded. “This was packaged horribly! The ends were woven through the middle in and out over and twisted around into a 500square foot knot. As a sail maker and 3D sewer, I know how to unfurl cloth, as I make commercial awnings and hand sew sails for ships — this is like volleyball net so attempting to untangle this on a forest floor where every single stick and twig makes it worse. It literally took 3.5hours to take the massive twist and knots out and get to the corner ends! It immediately rectangled 3 more times while folding/rolling it 20’ never mind draping it over what I bought it for. I would hope that another buyer m returned this 100’x25’x1”Netting in a trash heap knot so slipped by your company and was sent out to me as a “new” purchase. Hard to believe any reputable seller would send out their product in a giant woven knot. I did find clipped old black zip ties woven I so I believe this may have been a fluke. I hope. It’s utterly useless to me as it’s filled with dried leaves and tangled in twigs so I can’t even return it. I’m livid that my livestock is unsafe for the time being due to this horrid product and company. They have wasted my day and put my flock in danger of predators as they are lacking protection now.” —my husband. I share the same sentiment but I am good at getting out knots now. The product quality itself seems ok. There is no hem in the sides. The corners are tied with shoelaces once you find them.
