Journal It! Video Review
The media could not be loaded. 19 art journaling artists give their points of view on why they art journal. They all have different perspectives and ways of approaching the process. There are lots of tips and insights with yummy and plentiful photos. The projects are not limited to working in books so if you are interested in some 3-D work, there are some inspiring projects too. This book is not a complete how-to book. Not all of the images are explained of how to do them. I think you can figure most of them out if you have been journaling for a little while. One of my favorite quotes that explains the reason behind this:It's nice to get ideas from other artists, but keep in mind that you will draw the way you draw. Because that's your style. ~ Kathrin Jebsen-MarwedelMostly, I like to thumb through the book to get inspired.

Wonderful Book
I own and have read several journaling books, and this is one of my favorites. Many styles and techniques are showcased - lovely for those who are looking to expand their horizons. This is the perfect book for those who like an idea to get them started, but may want to run with their own creativity once they begin. [Also perfect if you like/need a step by step how-to for the examples inside.] I'd recommend for any skill level. There is something for everyone - lovely, lovely book.

Journal it!
I too own a LOT of books on journaling - but I found this one to be full of some great ideas and well written. I had to stop part way through and go and try some of the techniques. I also liked the comments/tips by the artists on getting started and overcoming our fear of "imperfection". I think it's a worthwhile addition to your collection.

Jenny Doh book are always pretty good, and in my opinion Lark Crafts is one, if not the best publisher of craft books. That said the book is like all other "art" journal books out there : predictable. A bunch of artists show few selected pages from their work and explain how to reproduce them. Aside the fact that journaling should be a unique experience ,how many books on tecnique can be written on a subject? After all there are only so many thing you can do in a journal.I was hoping for a showcase of works from people that keep a journal, with few words on why they journal, what they get from the process, maybe a short explanation of what the piece shown meant... that is what i am curious about. I only found few of that type of book, unless i purchased someone diary. That been said the book is good for what it is. I recommend it if you like to reproduce the pictures shown.

Well worth the cost
I have been journaling for years but this book really inspired me. It's laid out very neatly and is organized with helpful bullet points at the beginning of each artists article. Really worth the money

NOT A MUST HAVE
This is not a must have journal book... its more like a magazine pretty and put it back on the shelf none of it really caught my eye..but one artist is decadent....but at the end of the day it is all good and beautiful like all art and it has a meaning to the artist. but this is not something you need to see what going on in others journal or what is new... i got this on pre order, sometimes PRE ORDERS makes you think and wait till it gets into the local store so you can glaze through it and this is one of those... NOT A MUST HAVE.....

Good information
I was excited to receive my copy of Journal It. I have followed the career or Jenny Doh for some time. She has been a champion of many artists, supporting their craft and providing encouragement. I have taken a few online classes and know some of the journalists featured the book.I think this book is perfect for those new to art journaling or contemplating the process.

A acheter!
