Nails Inc Are You Hot Or Not? Duo Nail Polish

The media could not be loaded.  This ‘Are You Hot Or Not’ nail polish from Nails.INC is just so much fun! Whether washing my hands for the umpteenth time today or just doing the washing up, this nail polish has made me smile every single time!In the set you receive 2 full sized, 14ml, bottles of nail polish 1 in pink and the other is a grey shade.The pink shade, ‘Hotter Than Hot’ is a candy floss pink when cold that turns white when your nails are warm. The first coat was almost invisible but it did change colour, if only slightly. 2 coats gave better coverage but for me 3 coats looked best. This is an easy polish to apply and didn’t streak.The grey shade, ‘You’re Hot Then You’re Not’ is a steel grey in the bottle and this turned a pale grey under warm water. I loved this colour the most and the different shades of grey were gorgeous. This was also very pale with 1 coat, 2 coats looked better but 3 coats really built the colour and opacity.If I’m honest, in the box neither of these shades are ones I would normally choose but the in between shades were beautiful and subtle and it was fun to look at my nails in different surroundings and see a different shade! These really are very temperature responsive and at times can have an almost ombré effect which is really cool!I was a bit sceptical as to whether this would a) looking nice on my nails? or b) work? Well I can honestly say it scores top marks on both and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it!This would make a fun gift that is bound to make the recipient smile whatever their age.Not forgetting the amazing fact that this is vegan and cruelty free😻👌.

This is so much fun! Wanted something to amuse my daughters during lockdown so ordered this just for a bit of fun for them. It is mesmerising. I’m always cold and my daughter is always roasting so it went to different shades on us right away. It changes immediately under water and goes back and forth so quickly.I absolutely love nails inc but did find this to chip pretty quickly. The other down side of this for me is the colour they go to when hot. They are lovely shades of candy pink and a perfect grey shade when you’re cold. However when you’re hot they both go a very pale pink, almost white and extremely similar. I’ve included a picture with all my nails pink and grey on the ring finger and you can barely see the difference when hot.I’m glad we bought it and we’ll continue to use them, however I’d love to see nails inc bring out shades that went to more interesting shades when hot. If you’re nails are long it gives the most amazing ombré effect at times.

I was quite disappointed in nails inc polish - this was my first attempt trying it out. I didn't use any top coats, but I think it's preposterous that a polish would chip in the first 8 hours of wear. It does lay on the nail smoothly and helps us the inexperienced nail painters to have streak-free appearance. Needs 2 coats at least though.It does work through, as in it color shifts depending on temperature.It starts really really pale for me. Even grey shade looks barely beige on my nails, and the pink shade is only subtly pinkier. And if I get my nails cold the pigment shows itself and darkens. So far I have found it challenging to find myself in situations where shade would shift naturally. Cool novelty factor and it does work, but wear power is disappointing.

This duo is absolutely gorgeous!!!I feel like a child because I am fascinated with it.Nails Inc is great polish that is very easy to apply. The bottles are lovely and this comes in a gorgeous wee box that would make a great gift.I have had this on for about 4 days with no chipping and it still looks beautiful. I applied a nail strengthener as a base and a quick dry top coat to make it glossy.The colours are gorgeous. The grey is a muted dark charcoal that turns into a pale tan nude when warm. The pink is very stunning. It is very bright but goes to the palest baby pink when warm. When the polish is changing colour it looks great too. I am 57 years of age and I am playing with this like a toy; I am always running my hands under the hot or cold tap to watch it change! This polish is perfect for little girls, or old girls like me. I absolutely love it!

I found the colour payoff was not great with these but they are okay, other colours in this range work better though.Shame as I love nails inc products

I've had a few colour changing nail polishes. These were okay - good quality in application (2 coats). BUT they don't change as nicely as some of the others I've had often making them an in-between colour which tbh is actually quite nice so it wouldn't stop me using again

This needs quite a few coats and it doesnt last long however it does change colour and its fun to see the colours change.

My wife loves this product. The polish goes on easily and evenly and it does change colour as described. She uses it on natural nails and it stays on well.
