Febi 111598021A Swing Axle Boot Kit

These are definitely higher quality than the Chinese Empi equivalent. They are very similar to the OEM VW part except for the split boot design. They fit perfect and do not leak. You will need the specialty tool for clamps. I just used normal stainless steel hose clamps.

Absolutely did not smell like Chinese rubber. I dont even think febi sources anything from China. Lots of other places sure. Good pliable German rubber. Easy to install. Reused my worm type clamps even though I have the right tool, not enough room to use it.

Boots worked great. Clamps not so much. Used different clamps.

These are made very well, good thick rubber and durable.Need a special tool to tighten clamps, I reused the old ones after cleaning up.

Very well made! I didn't use the supplied clamps, due to not having a special wrench that's required, instead I used traditional hose clamps. These are substantially thicker than the cheap Empi boots.

The Good; Nice heavy rubber, properly sized, the contour is made like original German boots, easy installation ...The bad; it came with special clamps that required special tools to lock down, I ended up reusing my worm-gear clamps.All considered, I would definitely buy it again and/or recommend to a friend

I had an OEM part in storage from Germany for 20 years. I used it on the right side of my 1967 VW Type 3. The one I received from Amazon supposedly made in Germany was inferior in design and quality. The rubber smelled of Chinese origin with wall thicknesses that were very thin compared to my OEM part. To say that this was manufactured in Germany is not keeping with true German quality that we know and love. I hope it doesn't leak in a week.

As advertised good quality rubber made in Germany. The clamps aren’t the best I reused my old ones.
