I've changed my review of these wedges!My first review express a tip chipping on the first use. Since then I grinded it down and and still using them just fine.I'm doing a 25-tree logging job, on tree 18 and they are still taking a pounding! The double taped width is great, and greatly needed when dealing with leaning or bent trees! "I will be ordering more for future use I'm sure"I highly recommended buying & using these 8 Inch wedges!!

These worked well as intended, my scraggly beech tree was down in no time.

Seems strong enough for the purpose, has not disintegrated or otherwise been significant;y damaged by hammering, though you can ding it up by hitting it hard.Remember, this is for felling trees or unwedging your saw, not for splitting wood.

These are worthless. I’m not sure if it’s the taper, the material or what, but these things will not stay in place. They ricochet.
