Fantastic delicious LARGE baked potato
I was dubious after reading all the reviews that the baker would be too small but not all. The reason being that you put the potato in the bottom container and cook without the lid for in my case 7/8 minutes depending on the power of your microwave and because of this the LARGE potato shrinks slightly therefore when you come to put the lid on for the final cooking time (in my case 10 minutes) it fits well! Brilliant! I did turn the potato over at this stage. I was therefore able to cook myself a very large and more than adequate baked potato. It had a crisp skin which was perfect. The inside was delicious and fluffy just as it should be and I cut it crossways at the top put in my bowl and added butter, grated Parmesan cheese and black pepper. It was yummy. I can highly recommend the Morphy Richards Mico Potato Baker. It is very well made, sturdy and nice to handle and look at. No washing was needed as nothing adhered to it so a quick wipe with a kitchen towel was all that was required. Enjoy yours if you get one. Update - I have just baked a potato by slicing it as a Hasselback potato using the Lacor Hasselback Guide. It turned out completely delicious. A very large potato but cooking for 8 minutes without lid the lid then fits over the potato perfectly as before. I love the Morphy Richard mico products. The best part they don’t require any preheating either. Another update have now purchased the multi pot cooker and the grill and toastie maker. They are all brilliant and produce lovely tasty food. The separate egg cooker that’s included with the multi pot cooker cooks eggs perfectly either one or two eggs at a time so handy. Very pleased with the Morphy Richards mico cookwear.

Works brilliantly.
Fantastic little gadget. We've been wanting to replace our electric toastie machine, and bought this. It does seem a bit big when you put sliced bread in it like Warburton's, but home made bread fills it up if you like baking your own. So you butter the bread, I used Warburton's medium white sliced, place the butter side down on the metal tray, I put it central and it sealed fine even though there was a gap at either side. Put on your cheese tomato etc then put a slice on top butter side facing up. Then put the top tray on and press down then snap the sides shut, which is very easy. If you can't shut it you've put too much filling on. Stick it in the microwave for the indicated time, flip over and zap it again. Take it out using oven gloves, it's quite hot, then pop the sides and use a silicon spatula to lift the toastie out. If you wipe it with kitchen roll whilst hot, the excess cheese, butter and other stuff comes straight off. Then repeat up to four times, you have to leave it to cool after this for 30 minutes, so if you have a big family, buy 2. We thought it worked very well, the toasties were crisp and cooked through and even though the bread didn't fill the toaster it sealed all round the edge. Once finished, wipe with kitchen roll and leave to cool for 15 minutes, then dismantle which is easy once you've worked it out ( each side has 3 bits that pull apart) then stick it in hot soapy water for 5 minutes, go over with a brush or cloth, rinse under hot water and leave it to dry. So easy, don't understand why others have had a problem cleaning it. This will be great for the caravan as it's much smaller than a plug in toastie maker. Overall, it's well worth the money

Toastie Not bread shaped, but great anyway
This microwave toastie maker arrived yesterday and this morning was the first time I got to try it out. I decided to keep it simple with good old extra mature cheddar and nothing else. As soon as I got the bread out of the cupboard I realised this toastie maker had been designed by someone who has never, ever used bread a day in their lives as the toastie maker is square and... well, if you have looked at, or even just a swift side glance at a slice of bread they are quite clearly rectangular in shape. That said, I thought I have to give it a fair go, although I was thinking at this stage there would be a awful mess in my microwave at the end of this little experiment. So I girded my loins and set to buttering the bread adding grated cheese and putting the toastie back together and popping it in the microwave. The instructions give light, medium and virtually burnt timings for three different microwave oven powers. I decided to go for medium. The timings were 2 mins 15 secs - flip the toastie maker over (using oven gloves) and another 2 mins 15 secs. Only problem here... My microwave works in 10 second increments. So I went with 2 mins 10 secs instead - just to be on the safe side. After the first timing. Really, microwave beeping so early in the morning is a tad painful on the old ears. I put on some oven gloves and flipped it over and set the timer for another 2 mins 10 secs. At this stage there was no sign of melted cheese taking ownership of the inside of my microwave. And then that microwave beeped again. With some trepidation I approached the microwave, wondering if 'The Blob' was going to escape from the confines of the microwave when I opened the door... But 'No' all was good. There was no sign of melted cheese making a bid for freedom. I unclipped the toastie maker (still wearing oven gloves as the toastie maker was a bloomin' hot) and tipped the toastie onto my plate. I have to say, it both looked like and tasted like a cheese toastie. With only the tiniest bit of melted cheese having escaped. Once I had finished stuffing my face with the cheese toastie I washed the toastie maker in hot water and washing up liquid and it clean up in just a couple of wipes. So now I am going to spend the rest of the day ratcheting through my cupboards to see what else I can stick between two slices of bread and toast. I was delighted and am delighted. I would have given it 5 stars had it been even vaguely bread shaped though.
