Great Round Flavor
Not too dark, holds plenty of great flavors. Any way you brew it, can yield different and extremely tasty notes. I like to brew strong and cut with hot water to taste. Never bitter, always round and bold. The Don does it again

Low Acidity Makes a Difference
I have been a lifelong coffee lover. Developed IC over a year ago and had to quit my beloved bean. With a bit of management, I was able to minimize my symptoms so looked for brand of coffee with low acidity. Local stores have tons of variety, but none that are low acid.Though anecdotal, I have been able to drink coffee for a month now without any significant flairs. I had an espresso today of my old brand, and sure enough, it invoked a flair. Could be coincidence, but with such discomfort, I am not going to take the risk. This product provides quantity, quality, and value. It has a dark, full bodied flavor and that doesn't seem to trigger my IC. At roughly $9 a pound, that is cheaper than my local coffee bin.

Really Good mellow coffee April 23, 21
I was not sure what to expect. I had the 2 lb bag in my cart, debating if I should buy it... My wife took the decision from me. She added it to an order.WOW. I received the package, Opened, hand ground enough for a pot to determine if this was what I wanted... Blammo! I knew in the first sip that this was exactly what I wanted.Initial examinations of the beans, they looked a bit oily, it is a darker roast. It has a very vague fish smell, when you first smell it. But I have a sensitive nose. This DOES NOT translate to the brewed coffee. The Flavor was Mellow, Low acid (as indicated), Nice mouth feel, overall a great cup of coffee. Takes me back to a café my parents took me to as a child.

Above average
I drink black and started grinding in February 2020, and have been amazed how many bitter, flavorless whole bean coffees are out there. You can try 10 bags labeled "Columbian, 100% Arabica" and not like a single one. I've tossed a few barely-started bags. This one has good strength and flavor with no bitterness. The beans are dark and shiny, which I'm told is a good sign. The expiration date is 9 months from now, another "plus" for freshness. How great to have a 2-pound option at a great price versus Costco's 6-pound options!I plan to try a few more and then decide on one to continue re-ordering. I'm not fanatical enough to try the pricey ones, so my price range goal is $15-$20 for a 2-pound bag. There's many, but customer reviews help me greatly.Unfortunately, my favorite cup so far is a combination of 2 brands (Seattle's Best #5 for strength and Olde Brooklyn Dark Italian for flavor). Seattle's is difficult to find in the whole bean option.I hope to find one bag, instead of combining two bags, with the flavor and strength I'm looking 4.UPDATE: I just tried Peet's, stronger and more flavorful with no bitterness. I will be re-ordering Peet's.

Good coffee
The new packaging threw me for a bit. They do a lot better job of sucking the air out, so it looks kind of like a hard brick. Once it's open, though, it's the same great coffee, just maybe a little fresher. It's good. Real coffe flavored coffee. Gotta use a lot of it, though. I increased the grounds in the machine by about a third. Got that really satisfying dark, coffee bite. Most beans you buy, most brands, you have to sacrifice taste to avoid acidity. Not this!(People that claim to like strong coffee generally think my coffee is too heavy for them)I was able to increase the brew without any of the burned, acidy effect you usually get when you try to make it strong. Just good coffee flavor. Without an annoying buzz or stomach acid.

Don Pablo is the MAN. Bitter and acidic, NOPE
Es bueno cafe...I have tried Donnie Pablo's Signature (my favorite M-D roast beans), the Cubano; which is a tasty Dark roast, and am waiting on opening the European blend another Dark roast. I really enjoy Don Pablo beans, which are oily. And the Subtle Earth (Don Pablo level 2) varieties are THE oiliest, brilliant sheen, tastiest coffee I've found. I do like LaVazza Cafe y Crema as a coffee blend. I wish I had an espresso machine for more LaVazza. That's another to try...
