Elleven Amped Checkpoint-Friendly Compu-Backpack

This bag is my "daily driver". The checkpoint-friendly laptop enclosure works great. And as a bonus, you CAN use the pocket that is formed by the laptop holder to store another laptop. (Don't ask why I have two laptops that I regularly lug around. I do.) There are tons of pockets and pouches that just make sense. I use this bag for everything, including as my carry-on when traveling. It is wearing like iron, and despite a few "battle scars" looks pretty much good as new.The bag I got was provided by my employer as a "welcome aboard" gift. I liked it so much, I bought one for a friend when he admired mine. I woudl gladly buy another one when it's time to replace the one I have.

This is my second backpack by this manufacturer and I really like it. plenty of storage and I love the multiple compartments.

When my old employer gave me this model backpack in 2013, I didn't think much about it. But over the next 6 years of daily use and traveling globally with it, I loved the durability, large carrying capacity, and convenient features more and more; it aged very well. Even after I started working for a new company I still carried the one with my old company's logo and put up with comments about it from coworkers but eventually bought a backpack to replace it. Then another one. Neither of those came close to satisfying the high expectations I had from a backpack thanks to my great experience with the 2013 Elleven backpack, so I did my research online, looked far and wide for a replacement and finally bought the new Elleven in June 2019 for $95.Liked: the soft-lined quick access zippered pocket, the quick access to laptop featureDidn't like: the side pocket change to make it smaller, the additional front pocket is nice but the placement makes the bag fold upon itself awkwardly because the weight of whatever is in the pocket makes it sink and either leave the bag hanging wide open or fold inward so access to the main compartment is blocked.The biggest problem is that the stitching came out from one strap (photos) after only three or four months of use.Was a surprised that a newer version of the model that lasted me over 6 years, made by the same company, was made in way that it is falling already. I am planning to contact Leed's, the parent company, and see if they will send me a new one. I will post an update to this review with what happens from here.

I am using this bag in Japan and I love it. Favorite perks - passport pocket, sunglass pocket and side slot for laptop removal at airport!! One recommendation - change the direction of the zippers on the water bottle holder pockets. It was a surprise that one water bottle pocket is insulted. Perfect backpack!

Are replacement handles available? One of the side latch buttons on the extended handle came out and the handle detached to the bag.

My son had the older model for over a year. He carries all his books. I am very impressed with the quality of this brand.

I thought I finally found the perfect travel back pack. Loved the features and pockets. Two weeks into use I noticed that the large pocket area would be open when I know I zipped it up. After further inspection I notice the zipper does not hold, and opens on its own. I nearly lost my laptop and iPad in Logan airport in Boston when this happened. It is being return and the search continues for a replacement.

I had an earlier version of this backpack that I abused for 2.5 years and it finally gave out on me. I replaced it with the newer version and like it just as much. Lots of pockets that are good size, with padded computer compartment in the back. Comfortable to wear. Just wish it came in more colors.
