They work.
These screws are great I bought an older house where my bedroom floor would squeak loud every step. It took me a while to find a stud. But when I did the were easy to install. It squeaks no more

Works as advertised. Got rid of the squeaks.
Used this in my son’s new house where he had carrier at the top of his steps and two hallways leading to his bedrooms. Most difficult part is finding the joists but once you do the product works fantastic. No more squeaky floors. Carpets do not show any wear at all. Next thing to tackle is the hardwood at the top of my steps. More concerned on this as I don’t want to drill too many test holes to find the joists as I’m sure they will show a bit.

It works great, if you can find the floor joists
This product did what I bought it to do, it secured a really squeaky floor area, so I'm very happy with the result for the price. But I didn't give it five stars because it's not easy to use. The joist finder they include is pretty useless. I ended up putting like 10 screws into a line that I thought was a long joist, only to find out none of those went into a joist. The floor still squeaked, so I measured 16" from the wall and put a row of screws there, and then measured 16" out from that and did another row, just by pure measurement alone. And in those I could tell I hit a joist because the screw was harder to put in and the head broke off easier. After that, the floor didn't squeak anymore. Another thing I noticed was the heads were a lot harder to break off when it was in plywood only, and I should really take another star off for how bad the tool is to remove the screw heads, in that it hurts your hands to use it with a lot of sharp plastic edges, they could have given a long handle for more leverage and cushioned instead of sharp edges. But overall since the product did what I wanted, I just deducted one star overall.

They call it The Squeak Killa, they call it umm.. The Joist Jamma... The Screech Slamma....
I never leave reviews but this kit actually works. I used an 1/8th inch drill bit (like the instruction say) on my hardwood floors, right where the squeak seemed to be coming from. I knew I hit a joist because while drilling, I still felt resistance while drilling all the way down. I missed a couple times, and it felt easy to drill into the floor, letting my know I missed the joist. I used the hardwood floor plastic piece that came with the kit, and drove a screw through the 1/8th inch hole I made. The screw snapped like it was supposed to, and I was amazed to hear silence when walking over that spot! I got a hundred more spots to go... but the silence is worth it.

I know how to use a drill and they still break all the time and VERY difficult to remove broken ones.
This I believe is the only one star review I've every given. About Me: I work with power tools, I building things, I built barns, 2x4 construction carpeting, hardwood floors, tile, roofing. Basically I know how to use a cordless drill is my point. About the product: I saw this on this old house and thought "oh what a great idea" and in principle it is. In reality its crap. The screws are an inferior quality and break easily even without the scoring. I screwed 5 into the floor studs and all 5 broke off just by screwing it in on the slowest speed and at a torque that wasn't even enough to drive it all the way down in the case of 3 of them. 5 screws here are the results 1. went in fine seemed to help a little with noise in that on spot. 2. broke off with 1/4" above carpet and it was a 15 minute nightmare getting it out and it left carpet damage. 3. went in fine but broke off on it own. 4. broke off with 1/4" above carpet and it was a 15 minute nightmare getting it out and it left carpet damage. 5. broke off with 1/2" above carpet and it was a 15 minute nightmare getting it out and it left carpet damage. Furthermore this one broke off below the scoring so it was clearly an inferior screw. I got a regular decking screw and screwed it into the same hole and two hole next to it just to test if the wood was really that hard... 1 decking screw was able to do this job 3 times without breaking. I don't know how I'm going to fix this noise but I'm probably going in the crawl space and shimming or just driving regular decking screws into the floor in critical locations. Even a regular decking nail has a lot more promise and a thousand times easier than this product. If You are worried about the 1/16" in or less the head will stick up just hammer it hard so it compresses the wood. Its really too bad because I HATE this floor noise but a product that is frustrating just isn't worth using. Bottom Line: Spending 1 hour screwing in 5 screws only to have 3 of them break and need to be pulled is not acceptable and this is either a terrible batch of screws I got or just an inferior product.

This solved my issue in my daughter’s bedroom, as long as you find the joist it will do the job, great product

I had a squeaky subfloor in my walk in robe that drove me crazy for 4 years. After watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to buy Squeek no more. Note I also used my Ryobi stud finder to find the joist. One screw in and the squeak was gone. Yes the screw does break off cleanly in the joist and can't feel anything through carpet. No holes noticed in the carpet.

I bought this with more than a little doubt about its effectiveness. It’s very expensive to just fix a squeaking floorboard but it just got to me in the end and I couldn’t put up with it any longer. I have a tufted carpet in the room, which made it easier, as there is no risk of pulling a twist or loop. I located the joist with a separate electronic finder and then confirmed it using the special ‘joist finder’ screw. I then followed the clear instructions very carefully. And it works!! Once screwed to the limit of the depth gauge, using the gauge to then flex off the top of the screw, the screw snapped off below the carpet and actually I suspect slightly below the top of the softwood floorboard. The carpet is undamaged and you’d never know it has been touched - except the squeak is gone. Time will tell whether a headless screw can really hold a softwood floorboard right to the joist using the thread alone. But initial response is good.

this product worked for a month and I put it every 6" apart for the whole bedroom floor, it was quiet for a month, now all the noise is back again, it's frustrating, I think maybe because the screws strip the plywood on the floor so the screw doesn't work any more. A screw with a cap will work better to keep the plywood down. I don't like it at all, the floor was quieter for a while, now the noise is all back, I would say it's getting worse, and I spent over $100 for this product. my floor is regular, carpet, plywood, nothing special. It won't solve the noise problem.
