So Amazing!!!
Can we just talk about how cute this wooden playhouse is and how it can function as a multipurpose house for animals, chickens, and kids? I just got this today and wanted it as a DIY project for my Nigerian dwarf goats for extra shelter. The instructions for building it were amazing. I put together things all of the time and have for years. These instructions were probably the best Iโve seen. Just prior to this, I built a duck barn for my ducks and those instructions were terrible not to mention holes that didnโt line up. I wish I would have bought this for my ducks instead of that other one from Walmart. This is super durable. I did seal the roof as there were some cracks and I donโt want water to leak through it when it rains. The longest process was painting it and I added the number three to it to make it pretty. I would highly recommend this item. I think it would be cute for a chicken coop if you added a roosting bar and some nesting boxes inside. You can paint it and decorate it so many ways. Itโs great!

Cute for kids & pets in the spring. flimsy & off manufacturing mean more time & $ to make it last.
We got the one with the floor. Firstly for a small kids playhouse for the warm months it wouldnโt be bad. The item came with many manufacturers mistakes. Crooked support posts, gaps in between slats, and many corners splitting. the pre drilled holes to screw the floor into place were misplaced and not able to be used as they were inches of mark, so those had to be patched. So for small calm kids for a warm part of a year, it will be cute. As far as longevity or use throughout seasons, it would require a lot of reinforcement. Weโre using for a chicken coop and had to fill in and supplement the gaps in the walls and roof slats as they are thin, not put together tightly/sturdy, and would not keep out any elements. Once we fixed all the manufacturing issues the best we could, it was easy enough to complete the build. The instructions were easy enough. Iโve been told I have an above average standard for my kids and pets when it comes to the quality of items I like for them. Maybe this as is, with drafts and only moderate stability will suffice for calm not rambunctious kids or animals to use. I did enjoy fixing it up and if you think of this as a โrawโ framework type project to build upon, itโs not bad at all.

Well sealed, super sturdy, easy to assemble
We are using this for a chicken coop, but itโs a wonderful playhouse. SO STURDY, easy to assemble & all parts labeled w easy instructions. We bought with the floor (totally worth the extra $50 as it fits inside perfectly). There are no gaps larger than 1/4โ or so, so it is very well-sealed and well-measured. There is slight ventilation at the top edges (perfect) & we will also likely add a roof (sheet or shingles) for water-proofing. Painting it now. Itโs GREAT. We looked at tons of playhouses & this is the best option for the least amount of money. Kids under 5 probably, as itโs small (see picture- my husband is 5โ7โ), but I would have loved this as a kid โค๏ธ

Child's playhouse as chicken coop
I like that it was easy to set up. The rear triangular piece was stapled upside down. The floor is what stabilized the building. I painted the outside blue. A little pricey considering the thinness of the wood. And I mean thin. Bit works for birds. Doubt it's good enough for kids

First a Cat Shelter....then a Garden Shed !
I originally purchased this playhouse for use as a cat shelter for one of my elderly feral cats who was having some mobility issues, and was just plain curmudgeonly. I have other shelters for the ferals but I thought this might be a little easier for him to get in and out with pet doors I was planning to cut through the sides. Unfortunately my little guy passed away and the other cats use a different area. This Playhouse then became a garden shed and also a place to put bird feeders, hooks Etc. I only gave it three stars for sturdiness because I don't know how it would survive with kids knocking around inside it. Maybe it would be okay, but I'm not sure. I painted both sides of each piece before assembling with green waterproof stain and I really like the look. I wanted it to be weatherproof. I put real peel and stick Roofing on the top and also a ridge vent to keep out any leaks. From the inside I caulked every space with silicone and then applied foam insulation and painted the inside. I opted to purchase the optional floor the floor and I think that's a good idea. Together all of these things really enhanced the rigidity of the structure. I placed it on two sheets of plywood which I painted to match the structure and raised it on brick so that the other cats could go under it. I did not like the window design because it offended my sense of symmetry. Lol. I therefore took the windows apart and made a more traditional style with the wooden pieces. The white trim is waterproof paint. To keep the door shut and keep animals from going in I painted a brick to match the playhouse and put felt pads on one side of it where it butts up against the door. It nicely keeps the door closed and it's not obvious. Overall the playhouse is a nice addition to the yard and will suit the purpose well. As you can see it's quite customizable as well.

Love it
I'm using this for my chicks while they are ready to be outside and meet with our older chickens. This house is the cutest thing! The wood is thin but will do the job. It was easy to put together also. I got it without the floor and we had a piece of plywood cut to size at the Home Depot. It was a lot cheaper to do that than order it with the floor. We added the metal roof also

Terrible quality
Unfortunately, the roof has already started to leak, despite being less than a month old. In addition, the boards are separating and the door has broken. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this house and would not recommend it to others. I hope that these issues can be addressed promptly in order to ensure the safety of this playhouse.

Must treat wood if you want it to survive
Very flimsy wood. Breaks easily. Its not treated, so make sure that you treat the wood before painting and leaving in an outside area. I've had mine for about 3 years and it still stands okay. I highly recommend a foundation as a protective measure.

Easy to build. Children love it & it looks cute in my all natural wood Montessori mud corner outside. Many ways to make this unique & add on to it. Good quality

The Evermeadow Playhouse by Big Game Hunters is a delightful addition to any backyard. The wooden construction is sturdy, and the design is charming, making it perfect for toddlers. While it's a bit on the smaller side for older children, itโs still a wonderful space for imaginative play and outdoor fun. Assembly is straightforward, and the quality is excellent. Overall, a great investment for younger kids!

A wonderful little prefab playhouse for the grandkids that was easy to put together and is so cozy inside. We placed it on a pallet and added some cedar shingles on the roof to keep it dry over the winter. The grandkids love it and are busy decorating the interior.
