Works Perfectly
This item was great for houses or apartment with no clothes dryer vents. The house originally did not have a vent, the previous owner cut a hole in the floor to send the dryer hose under the house, which was a major mistake. The furnace is under the house and the build of lint is a fire hazard. Therefore, this is perfect until repairs can be made. The only thing that is missing is a mesh bag (the kind that gifts on in from the store) to cover the container, to trap any lint that may come up out it. The water does trap majority of the lint and the hose is short, so if you have an older full-size dryer with the placement on the bottom; and you want hang it up, you will need to longer hose.

This was real easy to assemble and It fits on my portable dryer with the Clamps just fine. the only thing it doesn't come with directions so you have to more or less figure it out... It keeps my room from overheating and I just love it. :) I would recommend anyone buying it. And its worth the wait for the price. Because if you go anywhere else you will be spending $15.00 to $20.00 for another and they all served the same purpose.

nice product but not as desribed
Product is a good idea for people who can not vent a dryer outdoors. The ad for this kit is advertised as having a 5 foot hose, but the hose that came with mine is only 3 1/2 feet long. But it does work well and seems to work best with 1 1/2 inch of water. My kit came with the much better metal spring tension clamps.Update 11/17/2014- I have used this indoor dryer vent a couple of times now and I must say I am very happy with it, I have mine sitting on the floor between my washer and dryer, with 5-6 inches of clearance on each side and I have it 15-16 inches from my wall.It does not blow lint on my floor, it puts out a little bit of warm air out into my house and the hint of the smell of fabric softener is pleasant.I see no sweating or moisture buildup on my washer or dryer.

A great work around
When I bought my new house I discovered that the dryer was venting under my house. The result was that there was a considerable amount of lint in that area. Ask any Boy Scout how flammable lint is. They use it as a fire starter.Because of the position of my dryer, re-routing the exhaust to a different wall will be expensive. In the interim I am using this. It seems to be very effective. Make sure to keep water in as instructed, and residual lint is gathered within the container. I then dump the water into my utility sink and catch the lint in the drain strainer. The down side to this solution is that all of the heat venting from the dryer stay in my laundry room. Since the laundry room is not part of my AC system, this is not really a problem. But it is a consideration for other situations. As mentioned, my long term solution is to re-route the ductwork. But this is keeping the fire hazard under control in the mean time.

Just Okay
The product arrived in good time, but one of the plactic snap-ends to secure the top of the lid to the bottom broke off in my hand as soon as I pulled it from out of the packaging. I found the hose to be shorter than that one I was replacing, and the clamp-connections were not as secure as the one that I replaced. The hose flipped off the top with the first use. I put it back on, and have to position it so that it doesn't move much. My old one was a trooper--it lasted over 15 years, and regardless of how many times I had to take the top off, the hose remained securely clamped to the lid--never had a problem of it sliding off. So, I find it's just okay...

I like it!
It was easy to install. Add water, click into place. I put a stocking around the open holes so that no dust will get into the house works for me! I am pleased!

Not impressed
It is great in theory, I guess. Can't speak to the functionality just yet. It would be nice if the hose it comes with was actually long enough to install as shown in the instructions. I have a regular old dryer and stretched the hose to its limit and the only way I would be able to install would be if it was tucked behind the dryer. Guess I now will have to go buy a longer vent hose.

Great Product
Great product. My dryer is about 14 years old and the clothes were still moist, even after 2 cycles. I have about 20 feet of flexible aluminum dryer vent duct and it was a pain to remove it and clean it out. The lint trap is easily cleaned and my clothes come out very hot. I placed a women's nylon stocking over the large vent holes to prevent the lint from flying all over the place
