Portable Scanner iSCAN 900 DPI A4 Handheld for Business, Photo, Picture, Receipts, Books, JPG/PDF Format Selection, Support Micro SD (Not Included) Card Hand Scanner

I got this scanner to take with me next month when I’m doing research in a museum in Mississippi. It’s great, but because it’s designed for portability & not stability, you need to be aware of the following:1) I built my own scanner bed, using an 11 x 17 clipboard from Amazon,https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C2Y8RVN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, removed the clip, & used a ½” square wood dowel as top & bottom guides (see 1st pic). This DEFINITELY helps in scanning material evenly!2) It’s very easy to use: there’s a round button that functions as both the on / off switch, as well as the scanning button. A long press turns it on & off, & a short press starts scanning. NOTE: make sure that you press the button a 2nd time @ the end of your scan, or you’ll wind up with a bunch of white space to crop out!3) It scans to either a JPG or PDF format, & there’s a small button to press to change the selection. However, the PDF format produces a much-sharper image than the JPG does. Also, there’s a button to adjust the resolution, but I’m leaving it @ the highest setting: 900dpi. I figure that if I consume more space on the micro SD card that’s included, I’ll simply buy a larger card!4) Last, a quick primer on USB connectors: most smartphones, mice, & small electronics use what’s called the USB micro plug. Large appliances, like flatbed scanners & printers, use the USB-B connector. However, this hand-held scanner uses what’s called a USB mini plug. What’s my point? You probably have several USB cables with micro plugs that’re interchangeable, so you always have a selection to choose from. Larger appliances never get unplugged, so you don’t have to worry about the connector. However, since very few electronics use the MINI connector, you need to be careful about not losing this cable, or you’ll be buying one from Amazon or eBay sooner than you wish.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you want a small, portable, hand-held scanner for the road.

The media could not be loaded.  this scanner device has been used at my place of employment to scab multiple inspection sheets and share them with management. I can use this scanner to upload all data collected to my tablet and share amongst other employees as well. I will be getting another one of these for my college bound daughter for her studies. This device will allow for easy scans in the library so she too can upload such info to her laptop and study all her findings she deems important in a more collective manner. For this purpose you may need to construct some sort of bed for this device but that's not too difficult. All together a great piece of technology and easy to use and transfer date.

Item comes with software that requires a serial # of unit.It is not included. Seller refuses to provideSo you either buy the licsense or have no software.

It’s complicated and if you are scanning multiple pages it will take entirely to long to put up with.

This lightweight wand it's great. It takes micro SD card and the images can be in jpg or PDF. The resolution is great as well. So far no issue and happy with it. Great for school and office. I can scan my contract after my client sign and email right away.

Stopped working after the first use. I followed the instructions, & set it up while I was at work. I even tested it before I went home & it was working. I turned it off. Took it home so I could scan a couple of things, & the digital screen would just freeze. I tried multiple times to get it to turn back on, & it still continued to freeze, it eventually just stopped turning on at all, even when I put brand new batteries in it to see if that was the issue. Not worth the effort, or headache for that kind of money.

Bought for daily use, it was easy to use and it works very well. Very small so very easy to bring, very clear for the scan.

I ordered this so I could turn in my calculus assignments in a pdf file, since we can't turn in paper copies. Until then, I'd been submitting JPEGs. This has made it so much easier to submit homework, and my classmates all come to my room to use it too.
