Reusable adjustable Face Shield Made in the USA (4)

As a surgical assistant, I use to wear disposable face masks, and sometimes face shields. Certain types of cysts and boils can spurt, so some surgeries required face shields. My lungs are now damaged by chicken pox, and I can no longer wear a mask covering my nose and mouth. So I purchased these face shields, for myself, and family. I became sick recently and had two trips to ER. I do not think the shield protects me from germs as well as a disposable mask, BUT it prevented me from unthinkingly touching my own face, for a wisp of hair, or and itch. So making it easy to breath, AND preventing me from unthinkingly touching my face are both good things. Good packing, fast shipping, and made in the USA. Two drawbacks, does not flip up, and needs a foam piece for the front headband, for longer term wear. I purchased 8 of these, for my family of 3 adults. So if one is broken, stolen, lost, ect, I have extras on hand. I expect demand for these will really grow in the Autumn.

Strong Pros: Much easier to breathe with this shield than a mask. Shield mouth, eyes, and nose; mask doesn't cover your vulnerable eyes and leaves gaps along cheek line. Much cooler than masks when outside on a hot humid day. Easy to see through clear plastic. Cleans best with just liquid soap and water. (Window cleaner not a good idea.) Made in the USA.Minor Nits: Shield distorts reading text at close distance. Headband is a bit small for some of us with bigger "coconuts". Headband is adjustable, but made of hard plastic than gets sweaty and uncomfortable if worn for long durations. (Easily fixed by applying 25 cents of single-sided foam tape to the band. Vendor should include it. Hint hint.) Would be better if it hinged instead of being in a fixed downward position. That way you can lift the shield when no one is around or when you need to read something. Hard to hear my wife when she talks with hers on. (May not be a con for some buyers.)

I bought these due to the reusability factor. I’m an instructor and anticipating mandatory masking and/or face shields. These shields seem sturdy, and there’s very little distortion of the shield.They’re definitely uncomfortable and would want to do some modification to wear it for any length of time. Presumably there’s a trade off in the ability to clean (being dishwasher safe definitely got my attention) and comfort with adding padding, not to mention cost.I also wish there was the ability to change the angle of the shield, not necessarily flip it up, but to adjust it some, which might help with the weight factor.Shipping was quick.

These face shields are AWESOME!! They are at least 2 mm thick, hard and firm (not flimsy) and really sturdy and heavy-duty. If they were any thicker and sturdier, they'd qualify as RIOT FACE SHIELDS cause that's how good they are! You can tell that these things will last forever with proper care and maintenance. I loved these so much that I ordered 2 more sets for relatives. If you are looking for quality face shields that are super heavy duty and that will last you a long time, look no further. THESE are what you want. Dont waste your time trying out other face shields for half the price like I did. With tax, these come out at $9.00 apiece but they are DEFINITELY more than worth the price! Out of 5 stars I give them SIX!!

This is a pretty good face shield. In the photo I attached, you can see visibility is good with hardly any distortion. The clear plastic part seems sturdy and should last. The head gear is adjustable. Doesn't seem very comfortable so I did what other reviewers suggested and put some foam tape on the front part that goes against the forehead. I have not used it yet but happy with the shipping and quality so far.

This shield appears to be well made, and the shipper was prompt. The drawback is the adjusting strap needs to be at least an inch longer to really be one size fits all as is claimed. The strap included might work for a mens medium if there isn't much hair for the strap to go over. If you want to add a foam piece for the forehead (as the manufacturer suggests) drop the sizing to a small. They suggest using rubber bands to extend the size, I'm not sure how to do that and I haven't even seen a rubber band for a long time, much less have any. This should fit children over 6 fine, and not restrict breathing.

This is great BUT in order for it to stay in place it will dent your forehead. I wish it had a little padding - so maybe an great arts & crafts project would be to add padding.This does work well. It did gig up but only after I was wearing it for a bit.

This is the third or fourth face shield I've tried. Compared to the others (all similar) this one is heavier and less comfortable, but (and this is a very big but) it alone is clear enough to use when seeing clearly is important. It also seems quite a bit more durable, which saves money in the long run.
