Awesome!
Dani and Booker met on a deserted road. They are far apart in more ways than one but the biker came to her rescue right when she needed someone. Booker took one look at Dani and knew his world was going to change. She was the epitome of innocence and he was hooked. Too bad her father was the police chief and she has led a sheltered life. As they get to know each other there is something about the two that draws them close and when Booker finds out that her identity and all her money was stolen by her ex, he takes measures to get it back but in doing so could also effect the MC. This story captivates you from the first to the last page.

Unexpected, funny, biker romance you don't want to miss
I purchased Road to Desire after discovering one of my favorite authors wrote as Piper Davenport. I didn't expect a biker book to be so funny. This book is funny, not always but enough to leave an impression. Dani Harris just says whatever comes to mind. She babbles. She freaks and babbles some more. Her car breaks down on the wrong area of Portland as she babble to her friend on the phone that then dies. Dani is rescued by Austin "Booker" Carver. Booker is a member of Dogs of Fire MC. This sets off all kinds of warning flags for Dani. Did I mention her dad is Chief of Police? Her sister is ADA. Her brother is a detective. Left with no other choice Dani lets Booker help her. He even takes her home (at least she was smart enough to text pics of truck and license to her friend). Booker wants Dani. I swooned over his determination. I admired his persistence. I was impressed by his patience. And when the alpha needed to go all protective--oh my. Booker finds the guy that stole all of her money--the reason she lived in a dump and drove a clunker. He fixes her car. He does't give up. I laughed as babbling Dani as she slowing weaked, falling for the biker. I enjoyed the story line--biker meets cute little kindergarten teacher, saves the day, and they ride off into the sunset. I appreciated that the bikers weren't portrayed as drugging, dirty, sex fiends. Parties were mellow, not orgies. Only one sweet butt was mentioned and when she screwed up she was gone. The club bent over backwards for their children. There is one problem--I want to buy the rest NOW. But I have so many other books to read. I know I won't be able to get this story out of my head and I will be writing more reviews soon.Feb 8, 2019 I just finished the audio version of this book. I can't believe the story got better, but it did. The way the narrator was able to add just that little extra bit of humor had me laughing even more than when I read it. I didn't think it was possible because Dani is freaking hilarious. That lady has no filter and I loved every minute of it. Listening to this made painting my son's room a joy. I am looking forward to the author adding more books to the audio library.

My First Book By This Author, But Definitely Not The Last!
This was my first book by Piper Davenport and it certainly won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book! I enjoyed the Brotherhood found between the men of The Dogs of Fire MC, they were truly a family of brothers, even though most of them weren’t related by blood. Even the friendships seen between the women were awesome! They are there for each other and they aren’t catty to one another or looking to bring the other down. I can see this group growing with the addition of the other love interests throughout this series and I am happy that I was right about that. lolThe love story here was good, I really enjoyed it. You can see that Dani & Booker are meant to be together from the start. I really liked how protective Booker was over Dani, especially, since her ex-boyfriend had stolen money from her in the past and he was determined to get it back for her.One of my favorite things in a book is a Very Alpha Male who hooks up with a Very Sassy Woman who keeps him on his toes and won’t take his s***! I tell my Husband all the time if I wasn’t so Sassy he would be bored! Lmbo He tells me that I am probably right! lolOne of the best things about this author is that she will make you laugh out loud while you read. After reading so many books I only lol and cry at a few authors works and I was lol throughout this book, so much so my Husband was commenting about it. So I definitely recommend that you pick up this book and start reading this series!

Funny, fun, sexy, and sweet.
This is an author with a unique voice. The story is well told, fairly clean in terms of editing, and a delight of plausible healthy badassery.Gentlemen, start those engines. It's better than a poker run.

Kindergarten teacher meets biker!
This is not your typical biker book, don't get me wrong, once the two leads get down and dirty, they don't stop, but the characters just felt so juvenile. She's a kindergarten teacher, so obviously nothing like a club whore, but even he,the gorgeous, bad boy biker just came across as young. Not really a great deal of action, ( like club business).Quite soppy storyline, almost insta-love and written in the leads pov.Not bad and found it free.

We meet bad boy MC member Austin "Booker" Carter he is from a troubled background. He's heavily involved with the MC club personally and professionally. We then meet school teacher Danielle Harris whose life and upbringing couldn't be any different to Austin's. Her dad has had made sure she has had a very sheltered upbringing and she also has very close connections to the police force. After a terrible blind date Dani isn't having the best of nights so when her car breaks down on the wrong side of town she cant believe how bad her night has gone and then to add to her woes the battery on her mobile phone goes.Austin happens to be ion the neighbourhood and helps Danielle out. The last thing Austin expects is to find himself attracted to the damsel in distress which is nothing like the kinda girl he usually goes for.Austin and Dani both get butterflies in their stomachs when they think of each other and despite their differences a relationship begins betweens the two starts. They soon there is more than meets they eye when they both realise that they come with baggage. We learn that Austin grew up in foster care and how the MC club became his family and that is why he will be forever loyal to them and in retuen we learn that Dani's first adult relationship was not only was she emotionally abused but he left her finaicially ruined. I loved this book
I absolutely loved this book, I'm not saying it's perfect because it's not but every so often, in my experience anyway, a book will come along which just 'fits' and this book is one of them for me, it's a book I'll re-read again and again it's gone into my 'go to' section, the books I turn to when I have a bad run and can't seem to find anything to read, other books in this section include 'Shade's Fall' and 'At Peace' think there must be about twenty in there now.Back to the book, the synopsis is good so there's no point me saying much more about that, Dani and Booker live different lives, they're two people who under normal circumstances would never meet, but they do and the attraction is instant but, and we have a bit of a 'Pride and Prejudice' thing going on here, my favourite book of all time so it's little wonder I loved this so much, anyway, I digress, Dani has a low opinion of bikers and despite her obvious attraction to Booker she feels it's wrong. Now Booker is so much more than he appears, he's hot, good looking, a biker, and that should be enough there but he's also tall, intelligent, a gentleman, rich, considerate..let's face it he's just about the perfect man.The writing, especially the early conversations between Booker and Dani have a very Kristen Ashley feel to them, it's all 'babe' and 'darlin' I loved it.I wish the book had been longer certain parts felt a bit rushed plus I would have liked more, it's a very light MC book more of a romance really with an MC background, bits of it were implausible, I mean seriously with her family and friends did no one check out the ex, but to me it didn't matter I loved this book so much so I think I'm going to re-read it again now.

'Teach' me to be rough
Things heat up when a rough, sweet talking, sexy motorcycle club member comes to the aid of a stranded innocent, sheltered kindergarten teacher.Austin "Booker" Carter is from a troubled background. He's deeply involved with his motorcycle buddies personally and professionally. Danielle Harris is from a family with strong ties to law and order. A case of opposites attract? Not so fast. Underneath his "wrong side of the tracks" demeanor, Austin is a soft-hearted genius. His loyalty to his club isn't blind, it's based genuine love and gratitude. And Dani, though she's wary of Austin's lifestyle and a little too apt to believe stereotypes, has a definite rebellious side.Piper Davenport does a great job showing the culture clash Austin and Dani face as they fall in love and struggle to see how to build a future together. This whole bad guy/good girl thing could have been a trip to cliche-land. Instead we get realistic characters carrying serious baggage. Austin lived a nightmare childhood in foster care. Dani's first adult relationship left her emotionally bruised and financially bankrupt. Throughout the book, the couple's past struggles haunt their present and threaten their future.I did have a few minor issues with this story, I think it's more of a personal thing for me but the over use of the word 'Honey' my goodness, at first I thought it was so cute that she called a big tough biker 'Honey' but then everybody was a 'Honey'. I thought that it all developed very quickly and if it was maybe a little long we could of dove deeper into the characters. However I really did enjoy it, the way that it showed different cultures, personalities.

Surprisingly Good
A free book but I still hesitated to download it as motorcycle gangs are not attractive to me . The cover picture of a half naked, bearded, heavily muscled man did nothing for me but the reviews were very good.I enjoyed reading this even though the men never used three words when one would do, a strangely abrupt manner of speech. There was a lot of energetic sex, I don't know where they got the energy.
