Pentair R172253 5/8-Inch Outside Diameter Black Tube Replacement, Rainbow 320 Automatic Chlorine/Bromine In-Line Pool and Spa Feeder

My seller was backyardpoolstore and they are a reputable seller both on and off Amazon. I needed this longer length hose because I had to switch from bottom feed to top feed on my inline rainbow 320 chlorinator. I have a 35k gallon pool and I could never get a good chlorine level in my pool even at setting of 5 on the dial. I had to cut about 3 inches off as it was too long and would kink. If your hose is kinking, I believe that either you aren't using elbows or your hose is too long. I can't speak to the durability but I noticed my oem tubing was beginning to cack under the compression fitting on one end so it was a matter of time before I'd have a good leak. My pool is about 4 years old. I powered on my system and the tubing is performing fine. My tubing was black and not clear like some of the older reviews said.

It is a special tube for special pool plumbing because everything about pools is non standard and special. This is a tube for a bypass chlorine dispenser. It works just like a tube should and fits on the connectors because of its special dimensions.

Perfect replacement for my upper inlet to my Pentair 320 chlorinator. Some reviews said this tubing was thin plastic and collapsed or kinked. This is not the case with this tubing. It is sturdy and fits perfectly. Easy, simple fast replacement.

This was complete garbage. The tube provided had the consistency of a drinking straw, literally a drinking straw, and would bend in half instead of being able to curve slightly, even with the reinforcement coil spring surrounding it. It was nowhere near as strong as the original tube it was replacing. I ended up using clear tubing I purchased from a big box store for a fraction of the price.

I've had no problems with the replacement part. It fit easily and hasn't leaked. It's an exact replacement of the original (which I had to replace because it became brittle and broke while I was on vacation, dumping hundreds of gallons of pool water into my yard).I do wish, however, that Pentair had used a better grade of plastic on this part. The plastic tends to degrade and become brittle after a few years, probably due to exposure to chlorine.
