Q: Can this go round the saddle pole as well?

Yes it can. I have used it round the headstock and upper frame as per pic but also round the seat post and upper frame. I prefer the seat post position. However I have also just purchased the Rockbros saddle bag and Sam get everything I have in the frame bag into the saddle bag and this looks and fits better than the frame bag. Both are good options! Hope this helps

It's held on with velcro straps which are very long so I imagine it might but depends how thick the frame is

I also have a quad lock bike holder. Mine is placed on the handlebar up tube and the bag doesn’t affect it in any way. Hope that helps.
