I'm used to the old kind of peelers. Took some time to get the hang of this one. Too sharp to peel small stuff but great for cucumber and carrots. The two way peeler is faster. The julienne side slicer is a little tricky. I didn't like it for cucumbers because of the water content. Worked great on carrots. This will probably work great for cheese. Received at discounted price for review. Very sharp. You have to be real careful.

I have had this peeler for a couple of weeks now and have used it on several occasions. This peeler is very sharp so watch your hands. Based on the photo, you can't really tell, but this slicer works as a double edge slicer and peeler. One side is used to peel and the other side also shred things into strips. I used this to shred papaya and carrots.It is a little bulky on the top, but with the correct tilt of the handle, you won't have any problems. The utensil itself is made out of durable stainless steel and is perfected weighted; not too heavy and not too light. It has a smooth matte shine to the handle. This peeler/slicer is a great value because instead of buying and storing two things, this item can do it all. I received this item at a discount in exchange for a honest and unbiased review. I love the stainless steel construction of this...most come with a rubber handle or are very small .This is a big handle and easily fits in your hand.My favorite thing is the julienne side.I julienned my cukes and carrots and love it on my salad.Can not wait to do squash noodles with this.the side peeler is also great.it's a wonderful addition to the kitchen tools!Received this product at a great/reduced discount to provide honest feedback regarding the product.

This product is great, much better quality than I expected. Its a bit larger and somewhat of an industrial feel, which isn't bad. Its not flimsy at all, and is quite sharp. No problems with washing it in the dishwasher either!
