Does not for BD pole saw
I needed to remove a peg to fit the chain.

B & D saw works better with 10" than 12" bar.
I have the Black & Decker 40V cordless saw. It came with the 12" bar. The saw worked fairly well with the longer bar, but there was a tendency for the chain to jump off as the chain got slightly loose. The saw definitely works better with the shorter 10" bar. Seems to have more power, longer battery life, and less chain jumps. You still have to monitor chain tightness, but it's not quite as finicky as with the 12" bar. As always, this saw has limits, it is really made for limbing and heavy brush, not logs. Also, if you have the luxury of time, don't pay full price for the bar or chains, wait for deals.

Works on 40V saw
Threw this on my 40V Black & Decker saw and it works great! The 40V saw runs a 12” bar so the 10” stays a but over-oiled but that’s fine since it has a bit more zip & seems to extend the battery run time over the 12”
