Great Product and Service
The Boair filter replaced the flimsy filter that came with our A/C unit. It arrived very quickly (same week) despite have custom size requirements of 21" x 16". My first thought after looking at it was "I don't think this thing will fit." However, I measure it and the dimensions were exactly perfect. My mistake was comparing it to our old one. The Boair is much more substantial and thus has the illusion of being too big.Installation: Easy. We have the slide-in type from a small access panel. Snug fit. I am thinking about adding a stick-on tab for easier removal. Sort of like how some lithium batteries and laptop hard drives have. Without a tab, a screwdriver can be used to slightly pry on one side and then the other. It takes about 2 times on each side, not terrible.Air Quality: Seems better so far, but we haven't had it long enough to be completely accurate. Since you can't see through the filter, I assume it will be much better than its predecessor.Cleaning: Too soon, we haven't cleaned it yet. The instructions seem easy. We may purchase a second filter and alternate every month. This will let us to be a little lazy about cleaning it and allow our unit to continue to run in our Florida home.***UPDATE***I had mentioned that this filter was a little difficult to remove. Since then, I found a small hole that the manufacturer drilled into the side. A small hook can be used to pull out the filter easily. Also, this filter is very easy to clean.

Not sure how effective it is
Unlike the disposable filters that after 2 months wouldn't let the air pass through, which was obvious because of the noise, this filter seems always clean; even when washing it every month I do no see dirt coming out of it.

Its a little thicker than I expected sits in my air handler very snug. Would've sent back but I got it in and hope all is good. I haven't washed it yet so can't comment on that. It is built durable.

We have a non standard sized opening for furnace filters. After several years of buying oversize filters and cutting them down to size I decided to buy this washable filter. The filter was made to the exact size that I specified and fits great. After operating the air for a month with this filter we took it down and cleaned it. The filter didn't appear to be very dirty but when back flushing there was quite a bit of dirty water coming out which indicates that it was doing its job. The filter doesn't seem to restrict the airflow as much as the disposable pleated filters. Am very satisfied with this filter.

very good.
I purchased this filter because I was getting concerned with the amount of dust buildup in our house. It worked!! About half the buildup.... very good.

I have a weird hole, but this was the perfect fit!
Don't laugh..I have a weird shaped hole! No, really, the filter hole is 13x13.5, roughly. I couldn't find any in the stores so I went to some specialty website and had 12 regular filters in my cart. I didn't purchase yet because it was $110.00 but I did really need them. I came here to trusty Amazon and saw this...better deal and it's reusable. Better for me, better for the environment. It came very quickly, fit PERFECTLY, and I just rinse and reuse. I love it and I'm ordering another one for my other hole.

Not all it's cracked up to be....
They most definitely are rigid and strong but if you can see right through them they can't be filtering very much. I replaced them with a Merv 8 filter and it is much more efficient. Also the BoAir filter whistled when the AC was on due to the air being pulled through it. As soon as you put in a normal paper filter it quieted right down to normal. If you buy good paper filters at bargain prices on Amazon you'll be a lot better off...
