A mostly happy for now ending awaits. The Scottish Billionaire as a prequel does a fabulous job of introducing Alec's large family without making it cumbersome to remember a bunch of names. I appreciate that greatly, as I have a hard time even remembering main character names. Basically, it is the story of how Alec aquires the most precious person to him, and gives the reader background on how he thinks. Then when we read Off Limits, we'll understand him better. The only disconnect that really bothers me is that in Off Limits he's described as being blonde and all the models are these sexy, dark haired hunks. I like accurate fantasies to dwell on while I'm reading.

The starting point
I actually read all of the previous books before this one. One book implied Alec and Kelli were married at some point. That fact was never proven. It was an okay reading but I actually expected more for the first book. Granted Alec wanted to break off thing with Kelli and now there was a baby on the way. I have read several of this author’s books but this was a clip hanger for me. It show immaturity on both sides and one common factor, sex. It is true Alec and Lumen were a better match because they connected from the start. You learn about Brody’s accident briefly and Duncan’s move to Seattle.

Prequel / Great start to this series.
The Scottish Billionaire Prequel by M. S. Parker starts the story of Keli and Alec. This also opens us up to other characters that are setting the tone for the the full book called 'Off Limits'. I have read this author before so that was part of the reason I wanted to read this along with the story line.

good read
The story was predictable with a handsome man meets a cute girl. They only have sex in common and the man becomes bored.

Good
Although I kind of understand and sometimes like knowing of how it starts, I’m trying to understand if this one is necessary to the first book. I personally don’t think that it will make it better for me to read this first. If your not really required for the fore story of Alec, I would say skip it. I walked away really only skimming the last part and not really thinking I would want to know why it is the way it is. But I am very looking forward to the first book. If you like the ground work, so to speak, of a story then I do recommend this read. And even though the prequel is not really my cup of tea, it was well written and painted the picture of the beginning of Alec and him in general. So it will be a personal preference on the prequel part of it.

A Good Story!!!!!
This story is as it says a prequel. It gives us insight to Keli and Alec. They show they have physical chemistry but mentally not that close. They show us their personalities that at times harder to relate to. It is extremely well written and has a lot of drama at times. The flow of the story is superb and keeps you engaged. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the next book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Good Beginning To This Series
This book is the prequel for The Scottish Billionaire Trilogy by M.S. Parker and features the story of Alec McCrae, CEO of his family’s Seattle business, and Keli Miller, a college freshman from California. After a few spontaneous meetings Alec and Keli end up in a sexual relationship which is destined to end, but, fate steps in for this mismatched couple. This well written novel ends in a cliffhanger which will continue Their story in the next book entitled Off Limits.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Needy unrealistic college student
I read off limits and the others 2 books before I know there was a prequel, good thing too cause while I loved the other 3 books and loved the plot and story line I disliked this book and wouldn't have read the rest if I read it first.

DISAPPOINTING!
I was very surprised at how much I disliked this book as I have read so many others by this author and I usually love them. For a start the Scottish dialogue was not needed as we all knew he was Scottish. Then the fact the female lead jumped straight into sex after just one lift home! I wasn't able to finish the book as to be honest it just bored me. I had put the other 3 books in the series on my wishlist to get after I had read this one but have now deleted those as I have no interest in finding out where the story goes from when I left it. If I could have left zero stars I would have done.

A very promising start 😍😍
A lovely novella introducing Alec McCrae a successful business man with no shortage of female company but he’s definitely not interested in a dating . Little did he know when he Kept a promise to his best friend to keep an eye on his friends cousin as she’d just moved here to Seattle to go to college that he would then hook up with Keli her roommate ,and that would lead to a big change in his life . Can’t wait to find out what happens next .

Short read
Good start to the series, looking forward to the next book like Alex's character, not sure about Keli there is something there, wouldn't mind reading about all the sibblings as there's a fair few of them.
