CamDesign HB-69 Dedicated Reversible Lens Hood Compatible with Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens (replaces Nikon HB-69)

Fits and works okay. It is a little loose and does fall off if bumped/brushed against a person or object, but then the Nikon HB-69 will also. Markings are similar to the real HB-69, so consumers should be aware that this is a Chinese copy.

I bought this item for the kit lens of Nikon D3300, the AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm DX VR GII. This lens hood attaches with a gentle twist and clicks into place. It fits perfectly & solidly, either facing forward or backwards.When in the forward position, I can turn the manual focus ring easily without the hood being in the way.When in the backward position, I can can unlock the lens to extend it & switch the focus from manual to auto. Since the hood covers the manual focus ring, it must be used in auto focus. The ability to face backwards helps with storage, too.The plastic isn't real thick or heavy, but it's solid enough that it won't bend or break very easily.I'm please that I found this lens hood at such a great price. I'm still trying to decide what to do the the wristband lens focus ring. With this particular lens, the focus ring is hidden within the lens until the lens is manually extended.If anyone knows, feel free to comment.

Hood design is nice, but has a slightly sloppy fit on the lens. The click is not as solid as a factory hood is on the lens. It does what it's supposed to, and doesn't fall off! Works as advertised.

Flimsy. Won't stay on the lens if bumbped.

Fits as well as the Nikon brand lens hood that I have that came with another lens, at half the price.

Excellent lens hood! Well made and light in weight. Fits snug (not wobbly or loose) when attached to the lens.
