My husband has been playing guitar for 31 years and knows his stuff. We purchased this as a gift for a friend of ours that wanted to learn to play. My husband was thrilled with it. He says that it plays very well, the sound is great and he's even learning from the DVD's. I recommed this guitar to anyone, beginner or pro...it's just a good guitar (especially for the price). The case is really nice, too.

Esteban Malaguena Guitar We are so disappointed with the product for the following reasons;it took almost 2 weeks for us to receive our order.The product was dirty, looks old where in fact I ordered a new one. The handle is so rusty.....I dont recommend this product to other buyers.

I got this guitar as part of an estate, it is alright for beginners and mine was one of the better sounding "cheap" guitars out there. Top seemed a litle weak and had to file the bottom of the bridge saddle a bit to make it feel right. As with all economy and beginner guitars use ultra light strings or lighter on it. I personally recommend Martin m130 Silk and Steel strings for this guitar as they do not put nearly as much stress on the top and neck of the guitar and allow you to get a much bigger sound out of it. Take the battery out when not using the electronics. Look up "checking your guitar's action" if you're a beginner, this will help immensely when learning to play the thing, and plan on upgrading in a year or two (do all these things for any economy guitar.)

Was in great condition and case was a hard case and was over joyed when it included a polishing cloth and extra strings. Sounds beautiful and plays well!

Very nice

I purchased the Esteban American Legacy guitar package a couple of years ago now. Being a begginer I didn't know much about guitars. This package arrived shortly afetr I ordered it. It arrived in excellant condition. The amp sounds awsome. It is nice to play accoustic or electric. Unbelievable the sounds you can get with the different settings, the overdrive is pretty raunchy too. After hearing more expensive guitars I am really impressed with how much better this guitar sounds than them. It rings out nice and sounds like a 12 string. Other more expensive guitars I have heard and played sound flat and lifeless. A friend who is an accomplished guitar player with a large collection of expensive guitars has played this guitar and is impressed with it. So all in all I givre this guitar a 5 out of 5 all the way around and am quite pleased with it.
