Hamster Magic (Magical Mix-Ups)

My daughter likes the storyline because the Willow children met the great hamster.

When we ordered this book on my daughter's kindle we thought it would be just as good as the Emmy and the rat books, however, we were very disappointed. It was very short, the characters were not well developed and the story was flat. The idea for the book was great but she did not develop the story line at all. Don't waste your money.

We used this in a school book club for advanced second grade readers. They loved the story about the big magical hamster.

My daughter had it read in less then 2 days. Super cute and held her attenttion. Will be getting the rest of the series soon

5 stars because of the fiction mixed with the determination to get there sister back to the way she was

Good value and condition

I adore this story and ranked it my favourite amongst all the other books in the Willows' adventure.It also serves to remind us to be careful about what we wish because what we intended with our wish when it comes true could be awry. Celia wished to become big and turned into a large size hamster and the Willows have to look for the Big Hamster to reverse the spell! It was fun reading Celia's race with the gophers and chipmunks, looking at the picture of the Willows carrying Celia back home, and empathizing with the Willows' fright when Mrs Willow came up the stairs with Celia still a hamster.

This is a charming story for children venturing forth from early readers to one-step-shy of a middle grade novel. Lovely language, quirky but believable plot, and interesting characters. There's a special talent needed in writing for this age group, and this author shows she has it in her delightful book!
