Tempering issue with the steel. Everything else is wonderful.
Ok, here we go...First things first... this part is to the manufacturers at “wild turkey”: You guys almost had it. Everything about this knife is incredible... except the tempering of the steel... it was almost perfect. Whoever handles the metallurgical processes for these knives needs to up the hardness of the edge. The edge rolled over (like ocean wave rolled) on soft wood. I’m not mad or anything... but if you guys fix the tempering issue, please let me know. This knife is amazing in literally every single way. The shape, the handle, the ergonomics, the weight... nailed it... however the tempering kills all the positives. To the people looking to buy this: If you are planning to trust your life to this blade... look elsewhere. (Unless you can temper steel)NEGATIVES: I took this blade through its paces this evening and chopped a 6” small log with it. The leading (curved) edge rolled halfway through it. This means the one of two things... the steel is trash, OR the temper job was not done right. I’m not sure which it is. But the metal is very soft at the edge. The transition between the flat blade and the curved blade is not sharpened so I took a nice file and made an edge there (I’m just kind of picky I guess) but the first sign was when the file BIT the metal and started shaving as if it was annealed copper... not a good sign... I put a good 60* chopping edge on it and took it outside and batonned a few logs. Not too much of a problem. The black paint/coating was pretty badly scuffed but who cares, it’s supposed to be a work horse right? So next came the chopping test... no bueno... rolled edge in under five minutes... I will say I beat the living hell out of it, but I’ve done worse to proper knives and they’ve been fine... but for $30... it would likely get you through a nasty survival weekend...POSITIVES:Ok, I know I hated on the thing for a massive paragraph... but it was only $30... I knew it wouldn’t be perfect. But let me say one thing... that handle is beautiful. It fits perfectly in the hand and just feels “right” the blade design is absolutely wonderful. If this blade was tempered properly it would immediately become my #1 in the field. The length is great for batoning. (And I mean GREAT) so yea, I love 99% of it... it’s just the fatal flaw of tempering...

Vendor is easy to work with, makes sure the customer is happy.
Excellent knife for the price. I have read several comments on other tracker knives, they all complain about high prices. This knife is responsibly priced. I liked this knife because my intentions were to reshape it a bit to meet my needs. Perfect for what I wanted. Plus if I messed it up I wouldn't be out of a large amount of $$$. So far that hasn't happened. I am pleased with the end result. Spend your money wisely. You don't always have to shell out large amount of cash to get a decent product.

This is the right size if you have larger hands.
if you have average size hands, then, this knife maynot be for you... I wear extra large gloves and even those are sometimes too tight. This knife "feels right" whenever I grab it... my pinkie finger isn't off the rear of the handle. Thicker blade, not really that sharp, but, has held the edge I formed on it very well. I am pleased with this knife and am rec. to friends and family for a great bush knife. The leather belt attachment strap was damaged (Over half way cut through) when I received it, that is only reason I have not rated this as a 5.I have purchased other "Tracker style" blades inn the past that I have given away because of various reasons, usually the handle size, however, this one I'll keep.

Spend the money, buy a good one.
Very cheaply made. Bulky and cheap handle.

Don’t waste time or money
Garbage, the blade is soft and will roll the edge at contact with pine wood. Not good for camping or Thru hike! Buy a worthwhile blade.... this ain’t it
