Most beautiful yoga-life manual
This is a wonderful book, beautifully written and designed (notice the spine which allows you to place the book flat at the head of your mat) and incredibly easy to follow. It contains detailed descriptions of all the poses accompanied by pictures that enable easy and immediate understanding. Naomi Annand exquisitely captures the essence of yoga, conveying the philosophy behind it with a compelling simplicity and truthfulness.I have been practicing yoga for four years now and have always preferred doing it in my own home rather than in public classes. This book has made my home practice the most enjoyable it has ever been. I can only whole-heartedly recommend it! Thank you, Naomi, for creating such a jewel.

A beautiful book, full of wise words and practical information
Wonderfully illustrated to take you through so many asanas and a few sequences as well. The spine is brilliantly designed so you can lay it flat whilst practicing. The Practice Notes are little gems for each posture that give you the sort of tips you usually only acquire through attending a class. The writing throughout has such a warm and welcoming tone, it's almost like having a lovely chat with the author. This would be great guide for beginners, as well as a supplement to home practice for those more experienced.

Beautiful, inspiring, accessible
This is such a beautifully written book full of wisdom and hands-on experience. It takes you by the hand, gently introducing you to the foundations of yoga practice, offering simple and creative sequences, really practical and informative practice notes and common misalignments in various asanas, as well as essays - reflections on modern life's challenges and how these may affect one's practice.What is also great is that the author identifies with deep insight some of the most common limitations teachers and yogis may encounter in their journeys and supports them through a friendly, down-to-earth and generous tone. The really beautiful images feel like moments for breath and imagination in between the written parts.A truly precious companion for self practice and teaching making both of these practices look utterly interconnected!

A well rounded, wholesome book
Completely recommend this book to anyone at any level of a yoga practice. The information is so relevant to modern day living with lots of useful tips on all sorts of topics from sleep to stress and posture. I use this book every morning now to follow the sequences which are so nicely laid out - I love it.

Lovely comprehensive book
I bought this as a gift, it’s beautiful bound and printed and the content was well laid out.I would buy it again.From reading through it will be a good addition to any yogis library, beginner to intermediate.

Beautiful
A beautiful book in both how it looks and how it is written. And one that’s been so well thought out - I love how the binding allows you to lay the book flat so you can practice whilst referencing the sequences or pose library. I’d recommend to anyone interested in yoga from complete beginner to the well practiced. Naomi’s writing and outlook helps to demystify yoga and reminds you what’s important about the practice such as awareness, breath, self-compassion and community.

This is magic
I finally got my hands on this gorgeous book! Thoughtfully written, everything in it is beautifully made: the essays, the layout, the illustrations, as well as the practices, which translate some of the magic this teacher creates in every class. This book makes you feel good. And what a genius idea to do the spine like that so it can sit flat on the ground! I would recommend this to everyone, as a manual for life, a yoga practice book or a piece of art.

A beautiful book
I love this book - not just because it is really nicely written, with bite-size chapters that don't pretend to be anything they are not, but also because it feels so beautiful and looks so beautiful. It's a pleasure to hold and read and look at. I wanted something that added to my yoga practice and let me learn a little bit more without being too daunting and this appears to be just right. Perfect for curling up with a cup of tea and increasing my yoga knowledge.
