Brilliant
Love this light. It is easy to install, simply screw to the ceiling and connect the wires - all you need is in the pack. Then you have a slightly domed light with a good image of the moon printed on it, and one which can be brightened, dimmed or set to particular phases via the remote control. It looks amazing, and the kids love it. The unit sees pretty sturdy and well made, I have no fears of it failing anytime soon.A couple of points - it does need to be hard wired to the mains light circuit. It is not batter operated. Also, the lights inside are about a hundred small LED's soldered to a circuit board. So you can't just change the light bulb. However, I see no good reason why they shouldn't last 10 years or more, in my experience such LEDs seem to last for ever.All in all I think it is a great package which is worth every penny I paid for it. 5 stars, would give it 6 if I could.

Great lamp, night light too bright
It’s a very cool lamp for a kid, I like the phases aspect it’s pedagogical. But the night light is far too bright for sleeping, it’s not really a night light it’s a proper light. The lamp is not compatible with an external dimmer, so we changed out our dimmer switch to a regular one for this, and therefore lost the ability to turn down the light in our sons room far enough for him to sleep. Wish we had known in advance it doesn’t really function as a night light.
