Just right
The level is just high enough. This one is a cm smaller in height than my previous pillow. That isn’t a problem as you can use a pillow on top of it. I suffer with sleep apnoea and sleep on my back so this 8s just right for me. The length is also longer so the whole of my torso fits onto it. Nice and comfortable. Only minor criticism is if you want a replacement cover whilst washing the other cover it almost costs the same price as if you bought a new pillow ie about a fiver. If that extra cover was cheaper I might buy one. However this item is perfect. Perhaps the seller could offer people with proof of purchase a discount on buying additional covers for this item. Just a suggestion not a criticism of the product I am reviewing here.1 To sum up if you sleep in your back this might work for you.2 This helps those people GERD or acid reflux to keep the stomach acid in its place during sleep because you are set at a level that the acid can’t rise up.3 Comfortable.4 nice soft cushion which is quilted.5 doesn’t warm you up at night as some memory foams do (ie the transfer of body heat to the pillow can make it difficult to sleep.)6 for the price you can’t go wrongCons1 price of replacement covers.

Good Product, some getting used to
Bought to replace a simiiar non-memory foam item, that had become compressed unevenly. This item is very comfortable, and I am able to use it lying down or flipped up to read in bed, with a single pillow to adjust. I use it for reflux, and with the previous wedge I found it made a big difference to my symptoms in the morning and overall. The only reason I have given it 4 not 5, is that I have to be careful to initially position the thin end of the wedge correctly in the small of my back for optimum comfort, because the thin end does not taper completely to flat. Seems fine when I do this, and the memory foam moulds to my back after time.

Quality wedge pillow with memory foam to relive acid reflux
Having struggled with medication and then various constructions of pillows in an attempt to alleviate acid reflux symptoms, I was slightly sceptical as to whether this inclined pillow would work, but having read through the reviews online, I decided to give the Milliard pillow a try.Delivery was very quick, in a surprisingly small (but heavy - 2.5 kg) box. I undid the box to find a very tightly wrapped pillow, which had been vacuum packed. A clever little safe blade was supplied to allow safe and easy opening of the wrapping, without risk of damaging the pillow, and having opened it, I left the gradually unrolling pillow on the spare bed to reach it's full size and shape. A crash brought us running, to find that the pillow had sprung open, knocking the bedside lamp to the ground. No damage thankfully, but do be aware - this pillow has a mind of it's own! There was a faint smell, due to the memory foam, however this gradually dispersed over 36 hours. The covering was a luxurious, almost brocade material, which could be removed for washing. The pillow is quite large, however on a king sized bed, this did not impact my husband on his side of the bed.It took a bit of getting used to - originally I thought I could just use my existing pillow, however this proved to now be too high, and caused acid reflux symptoms to continue. A thinner pillow did the trick, and I have now had nearly two weeks without symptoms.Initially I wrapped the pillow in a sheet until I could get a spare cover for washing. I did find myself slipping down the bed when sleeping due to the incline, which didn't help my symptoms, but I found that by anchoring a medium sized towel under the pillow and then laying (with my lower body also on the towel), the resultant friction preventing me sliding down the pillow overnight. All in all, I would say that this pillow is worth it's weight in gold, purely from the pleasure of waking up daily without a sore throat. Wish I'd taken the plunge sooner!Thank you Milliard!

Great wedge for sleeping with heartburn
I had my gallbladder taken out years ago and now once in awhile get severe heartburn that is so painful it hurts to even swallow a sip of water. The doctor recommended a wedge like this, so I did a bunch of research and got this one. It allowed me to actually get comfortable and sleep. It's quite wide, which is a good thing. Most of the other offerings like this are narrower. I own a second one that has a much more graduated angle, is harder and narrower, that's better for sitting up in bed. But if it's sleep help you're looking for this one is fantastic.Pros:- Extra wide vs. competition- Softer than competition-Not so graduated that it is hard to sleep, the angle is just rightCons:-If you're looking for something to sit up in bed, this is kinda not the best, it's okay but I have another one that has a more severe angle on it that works better for it.-Can't really use it for your knees, the angle isn't great.

Not for me.
Value for money, a little pricey yet well made I guess for what they are.No smells, stood near a warm area in the house and it bulked up quickly ready for use in a few hours. Can you sleep on it on your side,,,,, errrrrrr I found it very uncomfortable and would have said no for many. On your back, with one or two pillows under your head. If you have to sleep on your back through illness then ok, I am a move around sleeper liking to settle on my side, could not sleep on my back. Found I got back pain where the body starts to go up the slope. I had to try something for me it did not work.
