Paint - Brown - 400ml

I needed to spray some furniture gold.Yes,my nom de plume is Midas!Anyway,I've searched Amazon for at least 6 weeks and bought many useless spray cans. Most were either the wrong colour or the spray action was more like a baby spitting!The only one which was good is now no longer made!I was getting desperate as I even restorted to buying brush on paint with a very limited success.I managed to track this paint down a few weeks ago but only had time to try it a few days ago.What a revelation! Plenty of pigment,good spray characteristics and good resistance to form runs.You really do need to spray when it's warm though as it will take ages to dry and be prone to run very easily.As we've had a bit of rare sunshine here in S.Wales,I've used it out on the patio and achieved some great results.Mrs.Midas is well pleased!I'm so pleased,I've ordered 6 more cans.I must add a little criticism after using about 8 cans of this paint.I'd sprayed 3 drawers of a chest of drawers when the next can was slightly darker gold.Not to be outdone,I re-sprayed the drawers and the remainder.I was a bit miffed when I came to spray the carcase as the paint from new cans was the paler colour again.I was not prepared to re-spray the drawers again and so there is a slight shade difference between the drawers and carcase which dosen't show up too much in artificial light.My advice for anyone using this paint is to test spray each can before use.If you have 2 slightly different shades,just use one as a base coat.For the reasons stated,I've down graded this product one star.

I used this on the petrol tank of my bike & it certainly resisted petrol. You may need two cans ( as I did ) to get aGood cover & uniform colour . I applied about six light coats sprayed from about two feet away then two coatsA bit closer for a super gloss finish. The paint has a strong not unpleasant smell & will attract insects which willEmbed themselves in your paint work so be careful . It's best to use a primer first for a good smooth finish, I usedA red one & ended up with a rich yellow colour. I've had remarks on how great my tank looks, so I would recomendThis & I will use it again.

It comes out as a nice shiny coat but if you touche it you ruin whatever your painting. Overall i rate it 4/5 stars.

Bought on review comments and yet on application (and I followed all instructions) the colour is yuk! Its a sort of old gold (like you get on wedding rings that haven't been polished or seen a clean) or if you think of dull brass, but a dull tired looking brass, then this colour is that.I hate it........I went out and got another spray can of gold paint (locally) and went over the items I initially sprayed. In future I will buy locally as despite the advert on Amazon stating Gold there are golds and various shades.

Great quality spray paint. However, I really struggled with taking of the lid. The directions do not help.Good coverage on most surfaces as it states. Great coverage on brass.

I have a feeling my can is bigger on the inside? Definitely some timelord physics going on there, I've been using it on and off for days and it just won't run out haha! And its really long lasting, mine hasn't worn and I've sprayed it on things and left them in the rain once dried and bashed them on walls and it still lasts :)

Bought it for my costume jewellery originally to revive a few bits but it doesn't work at all but I instead used it to colour some wooden table numbers for a wedding and it worked quite well for that!

Easy to use perfect finish great result. Does what it says on the tin. Took a few light coats but very quick drying
