Bought this to attack a brand new allotment - ie a half dug corner of a farmer's field - and it works an absolute treat. The point is great for slicing through clay soil and chopping up sods of grass and general heavy duty work. If you have anything other than clay this will go through it like a hot knife through butter. I find it easy to use - the handle is very user-friendly, and the whole spade is quite lightweight. Not featherweight, but for an old bird like me with dodgy hips it's great. Spent ages looking at which spade to get for the task, and this hasn't disappointed. Ash shaft gives some bend-factor too, so all in all, I'd say 10 out of 10.

It's alright for the price, it came a little bit scratched but it's a spade so not big deal. Feels like a good quality. The packaging was unnesecary large.

Does the job but not what I expected for the price. The head is quite thin and light and it is difficult to assess it's durability after limited use. I expected something much more substantial.

It is absolutely stupid that someone has to be in and produce over 18 identification for this. It is absolutely stupid that the delivery driver doesn't make themselves aware after I waited in all day over to decide to have a shower at half six for them to "attempt" second delivery.This is a potato fork which means the ends are blunt!!!!! I have bought knives before, ok for them to have id produced, so why isn't that kept on record when someone is approved.Totally stupid that I can not contact the courier or Amazon and have to resort to review to comment!"!!!!!¬!!!"
