Pretty good but...
Pretty good compilation but too much reggae. Not that reggae is bad but with so many excellent covers out there, it seemed a little unbalanced. Some excellent tracks, some less good but by and large good value for money.

Beware, not all the tracks from the cd are on the vinyl.
Gutted that it doesn't have my fave tracks from the cd on it but it's still a wonderful collection of covers.

Will edit this down to one great CD compilation
A mixed compilation. Some known covers, some new ones which are really interesting, White Lines! Will edit this down to one great CD compilation, but some good material to drop into compilations for other people.

Stunning
Just listening to this again after some years have passed. No 2 ways about it - uplifting and mood enhancing without any funny business!Anything less than 5 stars is just being miserable.

Chop it to suit...
Some are amazing, some are ropey, none leave you without an opinion. I really liked everything except the questionable reggae covers - but then I don't like reggae. I loved the laid back jazzy covers on CD2, the electro covers and the guitar covers on CD1 - but then I like guitars and electro. The LSO version of Relax is brilliant and the biggest gem on the album. One of the best touches is that the tracks are sequenced rather than mixed, this means that the album is ideal for sticking on your itunes/mp3 music library where you can cut out and keep the tunes that you like and chop the one that you don't.It's a great buy and I'd reccomend it to anyone with a taste for something different.

compilation of the year
Ok, so it's only May, but this is without a doubt the best compilation of 2005. These are not the everyday covers you'd expect (think Westlife and Atomic Kitten) but a treasure-trove of original and unusual sounds. Moments of particular genius are the take on The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain's (LISTEN TO THEM NOW!!) Ms Dynamite cover. This is a 2CD package, split into upbeat and chilled moods. CD 2 (chilled) has the edge, but only just. All that's missing is the China Drum version of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights, but its absence doesn't stop Cosmosonica being blindingly good. Everyone from your granny to your little brother will love this CD. Don't you dare not go out and buy it right now! This will be the sound of your summer!
