Boker Plus Lancer 42 Folding Frame Lock Pocket Knife – Designed by Serge Panchenko

Not a fan of this Knife. Boker is one of the most well known and respected knife makers out there, so my hopes were obviously high. First off I ordered the wood grain(Cocobolo) scale finish and was sent the carbon fiber scales.(strike 1). Secondly in the description of this knife, stated that there was a front flipper tab..... Not on the carbon fiber version I guess! The only way to open this knife is to use your finger nail and pinch the blade. In my opinion that doesn’t make sense, that the same model varies so much between finishes(strike 2). Strike 3 has to be the “lock stick” on this frame lock. It has a very unpleasant sticking noise and feeling every time you unlock the blade. Overall I’d have to give this knife a 1 out of 5 stars. There are actually a few more things I can list but I figured those 3 would be sufficient to give someone an idea of how I feel about this knife. Not Serge’s finest work, to say the least!Conclusion... the knife has been returned!

Dislike to heavy like a rock in your pocket

2 stars for good materials used, but the frame lock(one of the strongest locks on folding knives) does not hold at all. Even worse than a slip joint.
