This is a great piece of kit, I have used it for over 3 months without any cause for complaints. The feel of the laptop, keyboard and the clarity of the screen are excellent. Absence of DVD is noticeable only if you intend to load older software from OEM CDs, otherwise most software / shareware / freeware is downloadable from internet.The USB ports including Thnderbolt 3 are well placed as are the others and the HDMI port. I had to buy a cheap universal SD card reader as the laptop can only read micro SD cards. As for gaming use, I cannot comment. Most of my use amounts to word processing, net surfing and converting my old VHS Mini8 cassettes to MP4 and DVD format (using standard Analog to Digital Video capture card and software).The absence of air vents in the bottom of the laptop is great, as I tend to use it on my lap and it does not give me third degree burns. It is totally silent in use ie, no noise from cooling fans etc. It boots up incredibly fast and the finger print recognition feature is very handy and now that I am used to it, it indispensable.If you are careful ie, not heavy handed the laptop is robust enough but in a business environment or with younger users the screen may not stand up to rough handling as it it is relatively thin.In short, if you want very light, large screen laptop that is elegant and a fast performer in everyday use including occasional heavy spreadsheet work or power point presentation, this is an excellent piece of hardware, with gentle handling should give good service. For speed and graphics card evaluation and benchmark performance the reader should refer to appropriate test reports. My review is from a layman's point of view. Thank you.

This is my second Gram - the missis inherited the first one and I am now using the faster version. To repeat much of my other review, I bought this machine for DTP - running framemaker, the Adobe suite and Coredraw. The screen allows me to have pretty much an A4 page up at once which saves a lot of scrolling.This machine is faster at processing my documents than the HP zbook g6 I sold within a week of getting it, and is a very good alternative to the likes of the XPS 13, etc (I've used them all- why have a high res screen in such a small package? You can't see the menus!)It is very light, very portable and doesn’t have a huge power supply. It runs for what seems like forever on the battery. Despite what one reviewer said, the camera is perfectly OK. Remember, this is not designed to be a gaming machine, and as such does its job extremely well.It isn’t obvious but it does have a backlit keyboard.Very good value for money. Recommended.

I switched from Macbook Pro to this one after a deep research. I was expecting something quite good, but this is more than that. To begin with, the screen quality is unbelievable. Although 17 inch huge screen, the machine is very light. The speed is ultra-fast as you will expect. The keyboard feels very nice. Touchbar is sensetive. The built in speakers are powerful. I definitely recommend this computer especially for professionals who need an all in one laptop.

Big screen, very fast, very light weight. Only problem is the glossy screen - dealt with by using Celicious Matte Anti-Glare Screen Protector Film Compatible with LG Gram 17 17Z90N [Pack of 2].I was unable to find a DC 12V car charger for this computer, but fond that the Power4Laptops DC Adapter Laptop Car Charger Compatible With Acer Aspire A515-43 Sold by: Power4Laptops with plug 3mm x 1.1. does the job.Congratulations LG.

Loving this laptop, so fast and smooth. Super light and feels good to the touch, nice keyboard. Very good sound.

Very light and good battery life, but poor touchpad and webcam (latter particularly important as a university lecturer in these online teaching times). Would I buy this again? No. I need something slightly more substantial than a frisbee.

*Gram 17 - delivered 9th June*As beautifully light as this thing is, it's an enormous waste of money, please research carefully before buying!I got an error message within a couple of hours of setting Windows up (still have no idea which program caused it), and I should have paid attention to the feeling of unease that provoked. But, I was swayed by the look and feel of it, and brushed the error aside. This was a mistake.I chose it to minimise the amount of carrying weight, and while the weight of it is astoundingly small, it CANNOT handle much more than word processing. Seriously. It overheats during video editing, and once crashed completely when watching a Facebook live broadcast (the only time I've done it). This is two months after purchase, so I can't see it lasting much longer than a year (frankly, I'll be shocked if it lasts until the end of 2020). I've since read that the issue is caused by the tiny fans used; they're simply not up to the task.Yes, it's gorgeous to look at, but only buy the Gram 17 if you're looking for style over substance.

Review is based on replacement of my old laptop which was so slow. Like so many things about this one including quick start up and searches etc. Also slim and light and love the finger print start up. Have not used on battery yet as always on power but going on everything else would presume it to be at least adequate.
