Cables and Cords and Interconnects oh my!
Is there anything more contentious in this wonderful hobby than cables and cords and interconnects? Except, perhaps, phono cartridges? But that is precisely what makes it so much fun. Endless possibilities, theories. testimonies, and opinions. Up until fairly recently I have parked this whole subject, preferring to devote my hard earned monies to upgrading components, the things that actually make the music, and rely on a collection of moderately priced mid level cables and cords to do their job. And it pretty much has worked. But here's the thing. When you get into the mid level echelon (not even going into the high level stuff that neither you or I can come close to affording) the little things start to matter. Like power cords. A few months ago I (on a whim) replaced the power cord to my Rogue Atlas Magnum lll power amp with a well known (can't say the name here as I did not buy it through Amazon) 8 gauge power cord. It was a demo on sale and the price was more than reasonable. So what the hell. What the hell indeed.I never take first impressions as an opinion. After all, we want our purchases to bear fruit, right? No, I let it burn in for a few nights and listened.Well... damn. Better soundstage, tighter, deeper bass... just better.Which (finally) brings me to this power cord. I recently took delivery of a Linn Magik LP12 turntable with the Koil cart and Lingo 4 power supply. Out of the box (and after my dealer set it up) this is a fantastic turntable, truly world class (as it should be for the price) and after a few months thought about upgrading the power cord. After all, it worked with the Rogue...This AudioCrast shielded cable worked very well. To be sure the difference is subtle, but it's there. Better bass definition, more focused midrange, not so much difference on the top end, but absolutely worth the very modest price.Bottom line - do power cables make a difference? Yes, they do, but only if you have components that can utilize that difference,. Until then, save the money for better components :)Associated Equipment:Rogue Atlas lll Power AmpLinn Selekt DSM PreAmp/DAC/Streamer with Organik/Utopik upgradeSimaudio/Moon 260 CDT transportLinn LP12 Magik turntable/Koil/ Lingo 4Wilson Sophia lll speakersWith the exception of the above, very modest interconnects and speaker cable that need to be upgraded. Great power cord
I should've done this a loooooong time ago for my theater. The first thing I noticed the power light on my towers was brighter. As soon as the movie started I noticed their was a very!! big difference in the sound. Den Of Thieves is one of my favorite movies, I have seen the beginning of this movie a 1000 times. Adding these power cords I heard the rain drops, the door handle of the car, the clicking of the bomb switch and the bass was crazy!!!!!!!! I ordered these cords for everything that would accept it. Great!!!! add-on easy to install and a great update for the price. 10AWG / 6.6ft

It's a beefy power cable
I'm not the sort of person who thinks the power cable is going to make any significant difference to the sound of my equipment, so I won't comment on what this cable "sounds like". What I did want is a nice beefy power cord for my Parasound amp so I'm at least not missing anything, and this definitely fits the bill. Especially when it isn't a huge price premium over a standard 14AWG power cord.I did however have the same trouble as another reviewer where the ground prong is a bit oversized. I was able to get it fully plugged in eventually, but it took a lot of working back and forth in the outlet, and at times it felt like I might break the outlet. Overall I'm happy aside from the fit in the outlet.

Great Value
I have this connected to a Parasound integrated amplifier running Kef LS50 Metas and a large subwoofer. After some break-in time, the sound is definitely better than the stock cable. The highs are more smooth, there is better imaging and detail and the bass has more authority. Everything sounds more natural and you can place where the instruments and singers are located. The improvements are not dramatic but it is immediately noticeable to my ears. I previously tried an older upgraded 14awg shielded cable with Hubbell connectors on this amplifier and it sounded worse than the stock cable. I'm sure there are better power cables out there but it will likely cost multiple times more than this one cost and I doubt the improvements would be better in proportion to the increase in price. Recommended.

Ground element oversized
Cable materials appear to be of good quality so I was excited to try these out on my LS50 w speakers. Unfortunately the ground prong on the male plug is so long and oversized that I could not get it inserted fully into either my power conditioner or a standard wall outlet. Have not had that problem with other cables. Other reviewers do not seem to have had this problem.Seller refunded my payment and seemed genuinely interested in looking into the issue. I was very interested in exploring these cables as an upgrade from stock cables. Disappointing but no harm done.

Great product without great expense.
Very well made and packaged. Tight connections. I was using the factory 16AWG cable for my subwoofer. Immediately improved bass tightness and definition. Running BIC PL200. Noticeable improvement. Well worth the cost. I am running vintage tube gear so subwoofer is used to augment below 45hrtz in 2-channel stereo setup. Very happy customer.
