My French bulldog loves the boat. We gotta keep her safe and I know this will. The quality is good and well worth the price.

I have 3 dogs and have purchased 3 sizes. The size chart is a bit off. If between sizes, try the larger. The flap to help the dog keep it;s snout out of the water is very helpful for an exhausted swimmer. Many "novelty" dog life jackets lift their back end, and push their heads down in the water. I appreciate this feature. The neck needs to be lower in the front with or without the muzzle support. Small dogs are subject to tracheal collapse, so neck pressure on a life jacket riding up is bad. I hope this issue gets fixed in a redesign, as these are excellent with that corection. The XXS will fit a 3-4 pound teacup. Please test the life jacket in water to be sure your dog is kept straight, not rolling to the side. Be sure the head is not pushed under. The jacket should not be the full body lenghth. Dogs swim with their butts down in the water, and their heads up. Avoid novelty jackets with fins toward the back. The snout flap here is awesome in an emergency situation, if you can get a good fit.

I like that it is velcro around the belly and then straps over. Easy to get it snug around my frenchie's odd shape.I bought because it had the under chin flap to hold the nose up. It doesn't really do anything,but that may be because frenchies are front heavy.

I have an 80lb olde English bulldog and this life jacket helped him so much! He loves to swim but because of his weight he tends to sink and this allowed him to swim for hours without an issue

It's a fantastic quality, sturdy with a handle on top.Cardigan Corgis are the wrong shape to swim, they are a non swimming dogs due to this.So mine is really just a waters edge surfer, unless theres deep mud and he's up to his neck in that.With this vest he is feeling more confident in the water and has swam a little with his water loving cousin, black lab.We can assist him using the substantial handle on top. The vest has long and sturdy pieces of fabric and velcro that wraps underneath him, he feels very secure in it, we get no complaints, works almost like a thunder vest. Perfect for a hesitant scared dog.The yellow, suits our blond Corgi perfectly and he is welcomed by all at the dog beach, due to his cuteness, I'm sure, haha.His cousin will be getting this brand of life vest soon, as she just outgrew her cheap one. She hardly needs a vest at all for swimming. But she has helicopter parents who are scared she will swim too far out, which is very likely, with this goofball. She would be easy to rescue, and be pulled into a boat with the grab handle and she could not fall out of this vest as the fabric and velcro are very sturdy, once strapped in they are securely in.

Was pleasantly surprised by this lifejacket! I have a beagle mix and he has a deep chest making it difficult to size him sometimes. This jacket fit perfectly. Even though it can be sometimes difficult to work with, I especially like the Velcro closure around the belly; I feel it helps get the jacket a little more snug around him.We have had to pull him up by the top handle a few times to get him onto the dock or into a boat and it has held up very well. Even when he tries to dry himself off in the dirt, we haven't had any breakages or tears!I should also mention the "under chin" floatie thing is great. I didn't think it would make much of a difference, but it helps keep his head out of the water; we have another life jacket that doesn't have this feature, and I found he seems to get more water in his mouth with that one.Very happy with this purchase! I will buy again!
