BEST CHAIN LUBE I'VE USED IN OVER 30 YEARS ON ALL KINDS OF BIKES
I have a 2004 Specialized Hardrock 3x8 MTB. I've put over 1,400 miles on my newest Shimano HG71 MTB chain using this lube every 150-200 miles. I just checked the chain for wear with a Park chain checker tool, and there is no measurable chain wear. My new 8-spd. Shimano HG51 cassette and new TRUVATIV front chain rings have around 2,500 miles on them now and still look to be in great shape. The entire drivetrain shifts quietly on both front and rear derailleurs and runs very quietly and smoothly while pedaling. The chain also stays pretty clean between oilings, unlike when I was using 3 IN 1 oil or some other chain lubes. I wipe the chain down lightly after oiling before I ride the bike again, maybe that helps keep things clean. Plus, I ride 100% on the street in dry weather which probably helps. In any event I'm really impressed with this chain lube, it is the BEST I've used in 30 years of biking on road bikes, MTBs and on my triathlon bikes.

Decent viscosity
This is the best bike chain lube that I've used so far. I live in Minneapolis, MN so we definitely experience a lot of inclement weather.

Good Lube.
Thick lube. Makes a loud chain quiet.

Keeps the Chain Smooth, Quiet, and Protected in All Weather
Keeps the Chain Smooth, Quiet, and Protected in All Weather Finish Line Wet Chain Lube has become my go-to for year-round riding, especially on coastal and rainy routes where moisture and grit are constant challenges. This stuff goes on thick, penetrates deep, and stays put—even after long rides through puddles or post-rain grime. You can feel the difference immediately: the drivetrain runs quieter and shifts more smoothly. Application is simple—one small drop per link is plenty. I usually let it sit for 10–15 minutes, then wipe off the excess with a clean rag. That small extra step helps prevent dirt buildup while keeping lubrication where it matters most. Compared to dry lubes, this wet formula definitely attracts more dust if you overapply, but it’s unbeatable for protection and longevity. After a few hundred miles, I noticed noticeably less chain wear and corrosion. It also works well on derailleurs and pivot points for general protection. The 4-ounce bottle lasts surprisingly long if used sparingly. Bottom line: if you ride through wet, salty, or gritty conditions, this is a reliable, long-lasting chain lube that keeps your drivetrain running smooth and quiet. Great for mountain, gravel, or commuter bikes that face real weather.

Stays put while keeping the chain lubed
Bought this for my e-bike and like that it stays put on the chain and doesn't fling off. It's also easy to apply.

Good stuff
I was using Tri flow super lubricant with teflon and I was having problems in the cold and wet conditions. basically it wasn't working at all. Id apply in the morning and on my way home my chain would be locking up. in comes finish line. works much better in cold or wet conditions and lasts awhile. I think I might like it better than using teflon for all conditions. I have to do a direct comparison to be for sure but as of now I like the finish line wet lube. as far as which lubricates better, id have to go with finish-line wet lube. UPDATE: I love this stuff. I do, however, think that it does draw a little more dirt and grime than tri flow, but not by much. Never the less, the chain needs to get cleaned fairly often, at least by my standards. Seeing this I decided to try Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube. That stuff is DRY, let me tell you. Definitely does not work as well in the rain or cold and doesn't last half as long but the chain stays MUCH cleaner. You'd need to apply more often but clean much less which is VERY convenient. I use the wet lube in rain, snow and cold weather. I use the Dry lube for dry, dusty conditions. Boise is very dry so right now I use the Dry stuff more. But, as far as which lubes better in a controlled environment, I'd say the wet lube does a slightly better job.
