48 Frame Condenser Motor | Replaces: Carrier # 5KCP39EGS070S, Genteq # 3905

I knew that my old AC motor was starting to die so I bought this and put in on the shelf. About 6 months later the old motor did die, right when the temperature was in the mid 90s! I'd never changed one of these before but it was surprisingly simple and it took me less than two hours. Now that I know what I'm doing I could do it in half the time. If I had called out the AC guy it would have easily cost over $1000 and I would have had to wait days to get an appointment. Now I buy spare motors for all of my AC units and keep them on hand. Be prepared!

The motor has failed after just 3 months. I live where it is hot and have already replaced it with a better motor. Now the seller does not want to refund my money, they just want to give me another motor. Warning, do not buy.

the local company wanted to replace it for 600$ i replace it in 20 minute and we saved 500$.. it is very easy to replace it do not let them rob you try to replace it first before they charg you 3 hours of work for 20 minute..

This motor did replace my old motor, but the shaft was a bit shorter than I would have liked. The fan had to be mounted on the shaft with the set screw just on the shaft. Otherwise, this would have gotten 5 stars.

When I needed a replacement motor for the outdoor AC unit, I initially purchased another similar motor to this one from a different seller, and received a generic motor unlike the one pictured. This motor that I purchased from this seller was a bit pricier, but I received the exact oem motor pictured, which was good. I took my time with the install which went relatively straightforward abd took about 35 minutes. Motor works great.

My AC condenser motor locked up after 18 years of service for carrier model 561jc042-f (motor part number HC39GE237A). The service company wanted over $1k to put a new one in. For around $150, I was able to get this installed in about 15 minutes as the mounting holes lined up perfectly and had the wire termination ends to attach to the capacitor and block. Obviously, goes without saying, make sure the breaker is turned off before servicing. Great product!
