Great alternative to heated curls!
This review is written on behalf of my 12 year old daughter: Overall this was a great product. The curls turned out amazing even though I used dry hair instead of wet hair. These curls worked way better than any heated curling wand has ever worked for me. The only thing negative that I have to say is that they are not very comfortable to sleep in. I woke up many times during the night to re-adjust my position. I left my curlers on for over 12 hours. I may consider buying a bonnet, which will hopefully make them a little more comfy to sleep in. Other than that, I have no other complaints. The curlers were pretty easy to put in, after watching a few videos about how to use the curlers. I read many reviews that they hurt a lot to put in, but I would say that mine didn’t hurt at all. They are super comfy just to wear around the house, which is good. They are very easy to take out. I read many reviews that this product was terrible, but I would recommend this product.

Works on baby fine stick straight hair for half a day!
I have very fine, straight, limp hair that does not like to hold a curl no matter what. I did not have high hopes going into this. Few pointers to start: *learning curve, but easy to catch on *you will not be able to sleep in them *works on fine, straight, thin hair I used a spray bottle to dampen each section before pulling through. Because my hair is so fine, I did not think I would have any trouble pulling it through. However, there were a few times the chunk was too big or the angle not right and I had to stop and redo it. Otherwise, pretty smooth sailing. It is difficult to reach some parts of you head, so if you have a helper, that would be ideal. It took me about 45 minutes to do myself the first time and I used about half of the curlers. The biggest slow down is that the puller stick came undone almost every time I pulled. Nothing a little super glue can't fix! I decided I would sleep in mine hoping to lock the curl in even better. This was one of the worst decisions I ever made. I was miserable from the start. But, having taken so long to put in, I refused to admit defeat. I tried tying them up, but since they all started near my roots, this was not possible. They were not painful, just bulky and uncomfortable and they crunched every time I rolled over. Next time I will put them in before I do my makeup, set with the blow dryer, and see if that works. The next morning I was worried about how long they would take to remove. I grabbed the first one at the top, squeezed a little to open it, and slid my hair right out! Removal took less than a minute. And, to my surprise, I had beautiful bouncing curls! Unfortunately, they only lasted about five hours. Maybe I can play around with product next time. But this is a huge win for super limp, fine, straight hair!

Not super easy to use & cheap quality but great curls
I bought these curlers for colorguard hair & practiced a few times in the days before my first show. It takes several tries to figure it out, and the first few times it took almost 2 hours to do my whole head. Once you figure out the right placement it’s not horrible though, just tedious and a bit tiring for my arm. The key is TINY pieces, I don’t have that much hair but I just ordered another set so I could do smaller pieces and still get it all done at once. My biggest issue was that about 4 curler pieces came with rips in them so they were unusable (hair would get stuck) and one of the curling rods came with the end that connects to the top part damaged. It looks like it had been snapped. I bought the one with 2 rods specifically so I could have someone help me and we could get them done quick the night before a show but it’s unusable. I tried taping it together and it kept coming apart. I didn’t return it because I needed to use the curlers and didn’t have time to wait for another set to come in. I’m hoping hot glue will work because I really need the extra rod. The curls were fantastic but it doesn’t seem like the best quality since it came damaged. If you’re willing to spend a lot of time and effort putting them in, I say go for it, the results are great! They’re not for everyone or for daily use but they’re nice tight and well formed curls that work great for my purpose, aka colorguard. (I put them in the night before with mousse and damp hair and wear a massive bonnet to keep all the curlers in. It’s not the most comfortable to sleep on but sleeping on a squishmallow helps!)

It works but...
It does in fact work. I did get smooth defined curls from it using mousse, gel, and sitting under a hooded dryer for 30 min. It took me about 3 hours to install it, but that's probably because of the learning curve, and the fact the I needed more for my hair. Now the cons. It's HEAVY. Maybe I'm just tender headed, but I can feel them tugging at my scalp due to the weight. I know I could've gotten shorter ones, but imagine if my hair was longer and I wanted to use these? Not to mention that I actually needed more (you need to use small sections to fit in the hair without struggling, hence the 3hrs), it would have been even heavier. Con #2- It's mesh, but it's hard mesh. Which wouldn't make them comfortable to sleep in. I only mention this because many of the videos I watched had shown people leaving them in overnight since their marketed as heatless curls. Some say the mesh makes it softer and easier to sleep in, but because it's hard mesh it doesn't compress down. Honestly perm rods would be more comfortable since they lay flat against the head. Con #3- It's near impossible to clean. It's inevitable that you'll get shed hairs stuck in the curl formers and if you're trying to fish them out it's an uphill battle. It kind of acts like those Chinese finger traps when trying to get the hair out. Even using thin tweezers in-between the mesh is a challenge. All-in-all, it did what it was advertised to do, but i had to return it for the reasons above. I think I'm better off with regular perm rods.

Nice curls
Easy to use. Great curls. These are not for sleeping in though. I put on freshly washed, air dried hair and left in for few hours.

HORRIBLE!!!
Even after watching several how-to videos, it was still not great. It's really challenging and I had enough experience going in thinking it would be way easier than it was. I grew up in my mother's salon and have used every single curling method known since I was tiny. So when I saw this I decided I had to try it. The wands come in three sections each and that have to be clicked together to make the 2 long hook rods. They come undone very easily and become a big headache quick. If I were going to keep it, I would probably glue them together with E6000, but then you can't put them back in their carrying case. And did I mention they were flimsy. Each and every time they fell apart my hair got tangled and was yanked very painfully. You have to use the smallest amount of hair and twist and twist it very well, hoping that from the back of your head you can get that crochet like needle to grab your hair in just the right way. You have to be insanely precise, any mistake and you're going to be in pain and tangled. And it took well over an hour to do my entire head. Sleeping with them was much more difficult than I thought. Even with a great bonnet, it hurt and the rods pulled on my hair throughout the night. I would finally manage to fall asleep on my stomach and as I would move, the rods would pull and yank my hair and wake me up. It was a very long night. Taking them off was the only easy thing and the style was just okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was nothing I haven't achieved with much simpler, less painful methods and it didn't last long. At that point I thought it couldn't get any worse and then came shampoo day. I had so many knots and tangles. I cried as I tried to rake through my hair with my no poo shampoo. If I could have given it zero stars or even negative numbers, I would have. Absolutely worst experience of any of my Amazon purchases. The only redeeming quality in this entire situation is the return policy. I don't ever want to see these things again. I'm traumatized. I'm going to try standard rollers because I don't remember them being anywhere near as painful. I think I'm going to return them.

No heat Works!
My hair is naturally a weird texture mix of curls and waves and straight pieces and it’s only gotten more oddly textured since I’ve dyed it and used some heat tools on it for years. But now I’m growing my hair out for my wedding and decided I’d like to not use heat products any more. It comes with 2 of the sticks to pull your hair through, they are in three pieces each, but I decided to make one only 2 pieces long and the other three pieces long. You can use a dryer with them if you really are in a rush and it works the same! But if you have thick hair, like me, it takes a very long time to put the curlers in, because you gotta make sure you put tiny sections in so that it doesn’t knot your hair up. I had to order 2 packs because of my hair being so thick, and once my undercut grows out I think I’ll have to have another pack! What I do is I make sure my hair is wet or at least damp then i’ll add some hair oil of my choosing to all of my hair then I’ll section my hair into 2 at the top, preplanning my hair sectioning as I do, and I leave out a layer of the underside of my hair and start in the back, I find it’s easier if you start in the back and work forward for each layer you do. Then with my bottom layers out, I grab the stick and put it through the curler so that the curler is on it and then I hook my hair through the stick and then with my thumb I hold open the hole on the curler while also helping keep the hair in the hook until the opening of the hook is safely in the curler enough then I let go completely of the hook and just press the hole of the curler so that it stays open while I pull the hook and my hair through the other end slowly. I noticed if I go too fast or don’t hold the hole of the curler open, it’s more likely to pull my hair and knot it. It sounds complicated but it’s not once you get the hang of it. Plus it so far seems way better for hair than the heat stuff. I just do the same process over and over again and if any part of my hair is a bit dry before I get to it I just add a little water into my hand then put it in that section, I think a mist bottle or spray bottle would be better though, I’m just too lazy to buy. Takes me probably an hour and a half to put in? Not sure. You CAN sleep in them, but it takes a little adjustment. I like to put them in after I shower so I typically sleep right after that, my cats like to chew on the curlers so I gotta cover them up with a towel or blanket, so it makes it dry slower that way. But if I put them in my hair and just do stuff around the house for about 4-5 hours it’s dry then (I never check before that many hours because I’m worried it’ll not be dry but it probably is dry within an hour or two, realistically) I put a bandana around my face so I can tie the curlers out of the way. They are a little heavy when you have a bunch of them on so they get annoying. Overall, I really like them. Only have used them for a week or so though, hopefully I don’t go bald. Oh, and usually my hair stays curly until I brush it out or shower. When I brush it it just looks a little less curly kind of wavy. I tried to see how long they last when I’m sleeping and i made it three days without wetting them again and the curls were still good just got oily :( that’s a me problem tho. TLDR: works like it should. Takes a while to put in. Kind of annoying to sleep in. I love them.

Works well!! A lil pricy tho 😔
Does what it says it does :> You can't use a lot of hair or it will get tangled when pulling it in which hurts 😭 and sleeping in it is super uncomfortable I tried all sleeping postions, back, side, laying on belly 😭 but it's still worth it! :D) my hair isn't long rn I had to cuz most of it off so its a bit short but I think it turn out cute! I brushed it and it became super big, fluffy and curly/wavy

Lindos rizos
Me gusto el resultado que tienes cuando te los pones. Lo engorroso es ponértelos y quitártelos pierdes mucho tiempo

Fun
These were so fun to play with. They really work great. You have to take your time and use small bits of hair at a time. Go slow so you don’t break the wand. There is a learning curve but there’s some very helpful YouTube tutorials out there. These are great!
