Had to stop using salon hair color due to allergic reaction. Used Naturtint for a year but now want to grow out my gray without embarrassing color differences between roots and ends. This gradually washes out over a few weeks of shampooing. Makes my hair feel and look healthy. I plan to keep using this till all my colortreated too light hair is grown out and trimmed off probably will take me 2 years ... This is a very easy to use ( unlike henna powder that you mix) and no commitment product available at Whole Foods and Amazon.

Over the years, I have colored my hair myself, had it done, had highlights, gone white a couple of times. This product does what I want, which is give me an alternative to natural white hair, and not tear it up in the process : ) All of the other coloring methods have peroxide, and my hair became like straw. I have experimented with about 5 Surya colors. The one I'm using consistently is Golden Brown right now. Everyone's hair takes color differently, both in color and the way it stays or doesn't stay. The Chocolate doesn't work for me at all because it turns orange as it washes out, and the dark brown ends up with a greenish or purplish highlight (depending on the lights I am in). I like the shampoo and the leave in conditioner, but . . I don't leave the leave-in conditioner in, I wash it out because that works better for me. I also put the color on various ways, depending on my mood. When it was white, I followed the instructions. Then, about every second washing, I mix a couple of tablespoons with the shampoo and leave it on while I finish my shower. I've also mixed it with the conditioner, then washed it out. I've mixed shampoo and color, then added conditioner, then rinsed it all out. Can you tell I'm one of those cooks who always messes with recipes; on my report card they used to check the "doesn't follow directions" box. I've mixed colors, sometimes three if I had leftovers in a bottle. It's sure better than any peroxide product, I'll never go back to those; my hair is so much softer using Surya. I'm thinking of doing what one person said, and leave it on while watching a movie to get more color. I like mixing it with the shampoo or conditioner so I get a boost of color and shine without a glaring "I just colored my hair" change. I've gotten many compliments, and I like this product, it is the best for me that I have found in 20 yrs of coloring my hair.

i started using 2016 July: Surya Brasil Henna golden brown cream : I constantly use: I have lost 1/3 of my hair. I have long thick yet fine hair: I noticed the hair lose starting July 2017: I just thought that I was going through hormone changes or something to do with thyroid. (when I put my hair in a braid: I have literally 1/3 or almost 1/2 of my hair gone since December 2016. I before and after pictures to prove the drastic hair lose. Is embarrassing when people ask me why my hair looks so thin. I started using hair thinning cream May 2018 and that is not causing thickness to grow back into my hair as same as my hair has been long and thick for over 20 years. THEN TODAY: I went to order more Surya Brasil Henna cream and SAW THE REVIEWS stating "HAIR LOSE"; Yes hair has been falling out in clumps more so in 2017 and yes 2018. I am extremely upset beyond words right now after reading all of the reviews on "hair lose" don't USE! I am embarrassed to say that I was purchasing this product thinking it was safe for 2 years now. I understand "it's just hair" it will grow back.... WHEN ? is the question? and what is in this product that is causing massive hair lose? Does this mean that it's killing the root shaft of the hair follicle permanently or temporary? I know that my question will not be answered! Even my fiance has asked me several times over the last year as to why my hair is so thin now.... karma karma karma .... I HIGHLY ADVISE THAT IF YOU LIKE YOUR HAIR: NEVER BUY THIS especially there are several other comments on "hair lose" after using this product !!!! In the past, to use "cheap box hair 28 day rinse color" from the store "for years" and never never never had any issues of my hair falling out EVER.... and yes I have purchased this Surya Brasil Henna several several several times: like an idiot without reading the reviews.... November 13 2018 ( I am 52 year old female: who use to have thick fine long hair for the last 25-30 years of my life) extremely upset today and I am a holistic Ayurveda student since 2013: I should have known better and read the reviews more closely over a year ago. and for all of the females that are NOT losing their hair: well lucky for them: there is nothing wrong with my thyroid. Despite the long delay in delivery (about 1 month), the people at Amazon.ca were really great. They even gave back the money I had paid for just because of the problem caused. Also the product is really good. I'll definitely keep ordering it!

Ich schreibe nie Rezessionen, aber lese alle zu einem Produkt. Und hier lohnt es sich wirklich.Nach jahrelangem Färben mit Henna bin ich wegen der doch sehr "schmierigen" Anwendung irgendwann auf Chemie umgestiegen. Leider, denn mit den Farben "Hellbraun" hatte ich nach ca. 3 Färbungen schließlich mehr oder weniger schwarze Haare und die auch noch in strohig.Der Umstieg auf Henna (normal) gelang zwar problemlos (keine Grünfärbung, wie befürchtet), jedoch konnte normales Henna meine grauen Haare am Ansatz nicht mehr überfärben, sie blieben mehr oder weniger grau, der Rest wurde langsam wieder heller braun.Der letzte Versuch war nun SURYA, goldbraun. Und die Überraschung: Es funktioniert wirklich. Ich habe nur den Ansatz behandelt, was dank der schon fertig gemischten Farbe in einer kleinen Flasche mit Dosierspritze gut ging. Ich musste nur ca. 1/2 der Farbe verwenden, den Rest habe ich aufbewahrt und werden ihn nächstes Mal benutzen, wenn er nicht merkwürdig riecht. Die Aktion dauerte auch nicht die üblichen 2 Stunden, sondern die angegebenen 40 Minuten. Die Haare im Ansatz wurden wieder so braun, das sie nicht mehr in Konstrast zum übrigen Haar zu erkennen waren. Ich denke, je öfter ich dies anwende, desto einheitlicher werden die Haare werden.Die Färbung ist nun ca. 3 Wochen her und dadurch, dass sich die Farbe auswäscht und nicht herauswächst sind keine Ansätze zu sehen, höchstens ein Aufhellen in Richtung grau. Ich werde auf jeden Fall bei diesem Produkt bleiben, auch wenn es etwas teuer erscheint. Wenn die mehrmalige Nutzung der Flasche klappt, ist es ja auch nicht mehr so teuer.

I ordered the golden brown but unfortunately I received dark burgundy in the the golden brown box and bottle. This seller does not seem to be providing the actual product by Surya Brasil as the packaging also looked like a copy of the original.They refused to provide me the actual product or refund my money. If you get the actual Surya Brasil product it is gentle and last around 5-10 washes. However you will need to keep on the hair longer than an hour to cover white/grey. I would say 2 to 3 hours should be good to cover grey/white.

The product is ok, my wife had to use it two times in a row to make her gray hair slightly cover, and it didnt last too much.
