Cats like to hide in things like boxes and underneath items. This cozy cat shelter is perfect for a cat with style!Unlike other reviews, I felt it was easy to zip this together and it's fairly sturdy. It's not meant for severe weather outside, like subzero hard freezes. But if it gets wet from the rain, it's no biggie. It's a bit bulky so using it indoors will need a good size area so you don't bump into it.It comes with a heating pad built into a cushion so your pet stays warm and dry. The heating pad doesn't put out a ton of heat, but it suffices. There is a small hole cut into the shelter to pass the power cord through so it keeps things neat and they don't trip over it, or even chew it.Just unzip it to clean it if needed. This is currently being used in an outdoor unfinished shed that stays partially open year round so stray cats have a safe place out of any terrible weather. This shelter is always occupied by a stray. They all seem to love it.I also have a pod that this company makes and it has served my indoor cat extremely well for at least 5 years. Knowing that this cat house is made in a similar way by the same company, leads me to believe it has a lot of longevity built into it.Cats will love this!

I bought this Mod Kitty Shelter for a community cat that has adopted me as its caregiver. The product is very well made and I'm sure it will be strong enough to last a long time and the heater is excellent. I like that the heater covers only half the area of the shelter, which gives the cat a choice of what it needs. It was a bit tricky to zip up but well worth the effort.I did make one modification to the set up by sewing a long shoe lace to the bottom of the front pad, and laced it through the bottom holes to secure the pad in place. Also, the shelter is water resistant but it should be placed in a carport or shed so that it is out of the rain and snow.

Would be much better if entire pad was heated. Good for a small cat, not for a big one unless you purchase a different heating pad to go with it since only half of the pad is heated. I purchased two of these. I wasn't sure if the feral cats would use them, but last night each house had one of the girls in it.Tonight, the snow turned to sleet and rain. Though the temperature is warmer, it feels colder. The larger of the two girls gave up her heated house for the straw filled hutch so she doesn't have to curl up in a ball to stay warm. The houses are on a porch wrapped in plastic. One of the houses is in a doghouse on a table and the other is on a hutch sheltered by the doghouse, so they are well out of the weather. The big girl still gave it up to get into a styrofoam cooler because only her butt was warm.

Nice! It was very simple to assemble and set up, and the quality is very good. It seems durable enough for the porch. The heat is minimal but warm and warms more as the animal lies on it, plenty of room for one cat but enough for two I'm sure. We recommend this bed.

It is not easy to zip up or set up. But, our 3 feral cats really like this bed. It is only big enough for 1, but 2 smaller cats might fit. It warms up very well. We have only used it in our garage, but our garage isn’t heated. It seems like it would work well in a covered patio area, too with the heat. Need access to electrical wall plug.
